I wear scrubs everyday for work. My belly isn't as big yet. Most can't even tell I'm pregnant. But I have had good luck with a couple of Cherokee, UA and Dickies tops and bottoms. They have some nice ones that tie under your bust to the back to show off the bump. I also like to look for gently used scrubs on offer up for when I do finally expand:)
I bought mine in Amazon and got free shipping. I bought the Cherokee maturnity in tall but a girl I work with that is around your height bought the same in short and they worked great.
I couldn't find any petite (I'm 5' even) so I bought regular ones and my friend hemmed them. I got the Cherokee brand. But I agree w @lindsaypkelly, I've been wearing yoga pants for the last 2 weeks ( my thighs are so huge they need a little stretch of the material) and no one at work has noticed. At least they haven't said anything. Comfort is key.
Ugh. At least you girls are allowed maternity scrubs. I have to wear the supplied ones from work. Which are unisex sizes. Which are not flattering to the nonpregnant frame, let alone the pregnant one. I've been rolling the pants down over the drawstring so they're not cutting into the belly, and will have to go up a shirt size soon. Or wear the jackets all the time and leave the bottom few buttons undone and let the belly hang out, haha.
A coworker recommended Landau button up tops in my regular size as a maternity shirt. I just have the bottom 2 buttons undone with a same colored tank underneath. They say the buttons are also
I have a few larger size scrub pants with a wide cuff-like waist band that is super comfy around my belly. On top, I can wear a maternity tee shirt and a long-sleeve scrub jacket if I'm cold.
Here is the website I ordered from for my past and current pregnancy! I am 5'2 so I get the petite. Order Cherokee Flexibles!! Soooo comfortable! $22 per top and bottom but worth it for working in! I work 12 hour nights so these scrubs are awesome! Just order the size you normally wear pre pregnancy! https://www.mynursinguniforms.com/cherokee-flexibles.html
I ordered mine off of allheart.com I paid $10 for each pair then $10 to ship all 4 pairs. They were in the closeout. I was so miserable because my scrubs were to tight on my waist once I got them I was able to work in peace again. It's totally worth it. I work 16 hour shifts and I was coming home in tears because I was so uncomfortable.
Luckily my job place isnt as strict. My scrub bottoms still fit fine but the tops are getting tight, so i went out and bought a bunch of 4 dollar t shirts from Walmart and can wear those. Some of my scrub tops still fit but i'm not going to buy a bunch of maternity ones.
Also the Med Couture are stretchy but kind of pricey
I bought the Cherokee brand on Amazon as they were the least expensive I could find. I'm 5'4 as well and bought petit length. As my belly grows and the full panel on the pants expands with it when I sit my ankles show. Still very comfortable for me though! The colors are a bit boring but for the price being cheaper and only having to wear then a short while they were my best choice! Now if I could only find some comfy non scrub maternity clothes!!!
Thanks for your input ladies! I ended up purchasing Cherokee workwear core stretch maternity scrub pants and Cherokee cardigan scrub jacket online. Then purchased my regular scrub bottoms (Grey'sAnatomy) and their scrub jackets in one size up. I'll compare and return what I don't like! 8-}
I've been wearing maternity tees with my scrub pants and a belly band to make sure my stomach doesn't show, then my regular lab coats over - not sure if you could get away with that where you work
I bought a few xl scrub tops though UA scrubs that are the "mock wrap" style so they have the stings that tie in the back so its adjustable as you get bigger. And they have affordable prices.
Re: Maternity scrubs
As for tops I just bought a few in bigger sizes.
Sorry this probably wasn't very helpful haha
