4 month check up

DS just had his 4 month checkup and I am a mess. His head circumference jumped several percentiles, so we have to have an ultrasound to rule out hydrocephalus. I am trying not to worry too much, DD is really petite, but her head has been 95th percentile most her life. And his is only 75th percentile, and he doesn't have any other issues. The doctor kept emphasizing that he wasn't concerned, just wanted to be careful. He said he is very healthy otherwise.
And of course the radiology place can't see us for 2 weeks.

    I'm so sorry you have to worry about this! We had the same scare with DS when he was six months old but his soft spot was closed so he had to have a CAT scan. He was fine! But we worried too! Try not too worry, it will be fine. Especially if your DD has a big head!! And if their measurements were even slightly off it could have changed the percentage a lot. Easier said than done i know, but try and not worry!!

    Thanks for the support.  Apparently several friends of mine have gone through this with their LOs too, so that helps, they see my pediatrician too.  i am gettingthe impression that he can be pverly cautious, but that isnt a bad thing, imo.

     

    This is going to be a long two weeks though.
