OMG - I am having a very slow day at work today and figured I would lurk else where. What a big mistake!!!! Went to the January 2016 BMB and ......... what was I thinking?!?!?!?!?! Just wanted to post this to tell you ladies, you are amazing and I appreciate your humor, science, and honesty. I don't think I could ever stray again. Thank you for making my Friday fly by.

I only saw a couple posts in there and it didn't look bad to me. Honestly not sure how anyone would have a BFP for a January due date yet tho. I'm actually hoping to be in January 16 but only because there are more than enough February birthdays in my family already and my fiance has already said he's not skipping a month because of it. Guess we better have good luck this month.

I'm kinda in the same boat... I don't realllly want January 16 because that means my child will have a birthday very close to his/her only cousin (the first boy aka prodigal child syndrome) who will be 2 that month
And I just don't want that shiz for my first kid (weird momma bear feelings, already...)
But I had the balls to mention it to DH and he thought I was crazy... So we tried! Now to see what happens ...

@BHEAT14 we are the same person. Two cats and a February baby wish!! June would have been the month I was due with my first pregnancy. I am hoping for a BPF that month and a valentines baby. If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans. That's what I keep telling myself because I know I am crazy person to think it will happen exactly the way I want it to. We can all hope though right? If not maybe I'll go adopt myself a dog I have been hoping for as well in June!

I'll keep my FX for you!!! I feel like a BFP in June will take the sting out of not actually having my baby that month. If not though It's ok. All we can do is our best to conceive and if it doesn't happen on to the next cycle or next plan. For me, it's another fur baby. Let's be crazy ladies! I mean why the hell not people are peeing on grains and doing all sorts of insane shit. Let's drink our drinks and believe in gypsies to get over our BFN!

@angc4 not only do I have my birthday in Feb but then I have my dad, both grandmas, my fiance's youngest son, my sister, her husband and his brother! And those are just the one I can remember. I'm fairly certain a couple of my cousins have kids that were born in February too. It is the shortest month of the year and somehow my family managed to stack the most birthdays in there. I really DO NOT want to contribute any more chaos to the mix. The only control I have is to not have sex at all next cycle if I don't get a BFP this time and even that is out of my hands since my fiance had already told me that he's swinging for the fences every month and we will get what we get. Is it bad that I'm tempted to sabotage next cycle? Lol!!

Not gonna lie I reallllllly wanted early December ... But luckily I don't get too down on that stuff. Just gonna keep rolling with it ... I'm only on cycle 4 so who knows what could end up happening ...

Other than that I would have to say, I'd avoid July for same reasons as @tigerfish227 ... Wouldn't mind sharing a birthday in my own month of August! April would be nice! Or October or November

If I could choose I'd really like a March or April baby. My cousin had a baby on St. Patrick's Day and he has red hair so they call him their lucky little leprechaun which I think is adorable. I'd really like to not be 8-9 months pregnant during the super heat of the summer though I'm sure i'd feel differently if I was pregnant during that time!

If I could choose my birth month, I'd choose September (because DH and I both have Sept birthdays) or February (14th- because that's our 1st Date anniversary and our wedding anniversary).

So I must say, I followed the link and then another and another and I feel like it harmed my intelligence and sanity! I think I'll stick with the smart, mostly sane people! I did find a good discussion on dogs and babies though...

And please give me any month but May! Me, hubby, niece and cousin- all within 5 days of each other!

*Current child and pregnancy warning*
I was super excited I was due at the very end of March with DS, and was pretty certain he might have been an April baby, but my body had different plans, and he was born closer to the beginning of February. That turned out to be great when taking him to Disneyworld for his birthday since it was waaaaaay less busy during the week of his birthday.
My LO one now has an EDD of December 2nd, and I'm curious to know when he or she will arrive. I know I'm still in the early part of the 1st tri so I'm definitely taking things one day at a time.
