Am I preg? 11dp trigger, 8dpiui

This morning I tested on a FRER and got a faint positive!

11 days ago I had a 5000ui pregnyl shot.

I am currently 8dpiui

9dp trigger- light positive - life brand ERT
10dp trigger - lighter positive-life brand ERT
11dp trigger - light positive - FRER

Is it too early to test? Is it the trigger? Or a BFP?! I'm worried about a false positive here..

I'm a little confused by your dates. Your first line says you're 8dp iui but then your next three lines reference tests at 9, 10, and 11 dp iui. I think you meant those tests were taken 9, 10, and 11 days past trigger, correct?

11 days past trigger should be a long enough time for the trigger to have left your system. Is this your first IUI? I always started "testing out" my trigger at 5 days past trigger so that I had a base of when the test was negative, then anything positive after that is a true positive.

At this point, I think it would be hard to tell if your positive is a true positive or leftover trigger. However, since triggers have typically left your system between 5-10 days, a positive at 11dp iui is likely a true positive.

You said you tested and got a faint positive? A faint positive is a positive nonetheless, but test again in a few days.

Also...make sure you read the TOU. This is a forbidden question [-X

I think she was asking if it's a true bfp because trigger shot can cause a positive hpt. I don't know the answer though.

I should add-- some people will have a trace of the trigger left in their system for up to 14 days, which is one reason why betas are typically scheduled for 14-15 days past a trigger.

I tested my trigger out. It was gone at 6 dpo. You might just have to wait for the blood test.

See, I was going to defend the OP and say that her real question was whether the positive test she's seeing could be because of the trigger, which I think is a valid question to ask here.

There are ways to phrase things, but overall you're asking if you think you're pregnant. We can't tell you.
