Would the real morning temp please rise up...

I woke up at 5am FREEZING! DH left the window open and at some point turned the fan on. Took my temp, 97.7. I got up and closed window, shut off fan, and fell back asleep. My normal alarm went off at 7 am and I took temp again, 98.05. I used this temp, am I wrong? Either way, its going downnnnnn

Use the first temp, always the first temp.

Make a note of the circumstances and mark that it wasn't at your usual time.

People always say this, but FF says that using the temp taken closest to your normal temping time is the better option and note special circumstances in the notes section.

It's in the FAQ. For some reason, I can't C&P it.
