baby wearing

Okay mommy's I'm looking for the best wrap or carrier I'm about 120 prepregnacy and 5'4

Re: baby wearing

  • You're the same size as me exactly! I ordered a Happy Baby Wrap. It's a bamboo fiber wrap that is really breathable and perfect for the hot and humid NC summer. They come in pretty colors and patterns too. About $55. I can't wait for my polka dot one to come in the mail!

  • I got a ktan for the first couple months and a Tula for when he's a tad bigger! Loooove the Tula . My 2 year old loves it too. May have to get a toddler one for her.

I also got a K'tan after lots of recommendations and research on something for a short person (5'1"....on a good day....if I'm rounding up :) ).
  • 3rd baby. Starting out with a k'tan moby mix. Once he is older I'll switch to my tula or ergo but my dream carrier right now is a lillebaby. I had a friend let me try hers and it was Back and should support bliss.
  • Starting with a solly baby wrap ( like moby but made in CA- I like to support U.S. companies) then will transition to ergo 360
  • Is anyone trying just the ergo? I got the infant insert and was planning to use it right away but should I be getting a wrap for when she's very little instead?
  • Moby and Happy Baby Wrap! I've also heard good things about the Solly baby wrap
  • I love the versatility of the wrap! I made my own- it is nothing more than a really long piece of stretchy knit fabric. Requires very little sewing and saves money. Attached Pic of my son testing it on our cat. :)

That is adorable! I did the same with my dog! Good idea making your own they're so expensive. @babyboyhoward

I did the infant insert with my first and really didn't like it. She never felt secure and I ended up walking around with an arm around her whole she was in it. That won't work for me with a toddler running around, so I'm trying the k'tan.
  • I'm going to try to the ring sling this time around.  I had a moby for DD but didn't use it much.  I'm bigger and the fabric was barely long enough for me to wrap.  And it was a pain to put on all the time.  My BFF had the ergo but didn't use it until he was a little older because she didn't like how he was in it as an infant.
  • I have a moby and Tula Ring Sling for when the baby is little. I also have 3 Tula canvas carriers and the infant insert but I found the insert not to be comfortable until my daughter was a couple months old. I definitely prefer the moby and ring sling for right away.

  • I am a big baby wearer, and I LOVE the maya wrap ring sling for newborn stage. Then mei tais or long woven wraps after that.

  • Moby for the first few months and then an Ergo. I have the infant insert from last time but he didn't seem to like it. The Moby was more comfortable for both of us.

I used the infant insert with my first and it was fine
  • I have a mei tai and Moby wrap, and am thinking about a longer wrap for when baby gets older.
  • The infant insert is hot. For a summer baby, a sling or k'tan is really nice when they are newborns.
