Happy Thursday everyone! I went for my NT ultrasound and blood-work yesterday and during our ultrasound, the Dr. told us she had a prediction on what our baby's gender is that was more than 50% confident. Immediately I thought to myself...it must be a boy (we told her we'd rather her not share her prediction with us since it wasn't 90%+ sure)!
I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow, so yesterday I was 12w5d. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think that her having a prediction this early means that it is a boy? I realize that it could go either way (50/50 always!), but if she felt confident, would it only make sense that she thinks boy?
We'll be finding out for sure at our 20 week ultrasound, but I'm so antsy to know now...would love your thoughts!
Re: Dr. Giving Gender Prediciton During Ultrasound - Opinions!
@Knottie03036745 this is exactly what I was thinking! If they claim they "already have a guess" I would just assume that means they think it's a boy (since it's still too early, and I feel like seeing the development of boy parts is easier than girl parts)....we are also planning on being surprised (envelope and opening later) so I'm kinda wondering if the cat is already out of the bag.
I just want to say, it is really still too early to see a penis at this point. Being that the sex organs look almost the same this early on, perhaps the doctor/tech is so experienced at reading sonograms they can tell from something else whether it is boy/girl. Don't assume right off the bat that because they're saying they have a guess means it's a boy! They could be really good at reading sonos and could see signs of a girl! it could really go either way
Just thought it was interesting!
