Possible Blighted Ovum

So next week could be my goodbye :( I went to my first ob appt yesterday and she offered to do a quick scan to see if we could see anything. I should have been 6w6d. We got in there and all we could see was an empty sac. It measured 7w1d but appears to be without baby. I go back next week for another look and pray there's a little miracle in there. She said there's a chance it could happen. Baby could be a late bloomer but if not, a d&c could be in my future.

    I too only saw an empty sac at around 6 weeks and based on how hugh my HCG numbers were, the dr said they should see something..it wasn't until a week later that we finally saw the fetal pole and heartbeat..hang in there!

    I'm in the same situation. I was 7w yesterday on the dot and was having some brown spotting so my Dr did an ultrasound and I measured 6w2d with just an empty sac. Waiting 1 week for the ultrasound is going to be so hard. Prayers and happy thoughts ur way. Fingers crossed for the both of us.

    Thinking good thoughts for you and hoping for good results next week! My first ob appointment isn't until I am 9w3d which is very hard to wait for (I'm 5w3d now). Maybe baby just needs a little more time to show for you!
