Comfy shoe recommendations?

Does anyone have a good recommendation for comfy (but cute!!) shoes for swelling 3rd trimester feet?

Re: Comfy shoe recommendations?

  • I plan to be in flip flops until I deliver... And then for about 4 months after!
  • Loading the player...
  • I bought sketchers memory foam sneakers and love love love them! I bartend and serve a lot and use these at one of my jobs since they are cute and super comfy
  • Keds. Keds keds and keds. I used to think they were only for grandmas but they're making a fashion comeback and are pretty much the comfiest things ever and come in just about every color, even cute patterns. Go keds!

I've been living in my Sketchers Go Walks. They are slip ons too!
  • I have wedges that I bought back in December and I LOVE them. They have a very small heel, like maybe an inch, but because they're wedges they're sturdy, supportive, and comfortable. I also like that they can be dressy or casual - it's so hard to find pregnancy-friendly dress shoes!

  • I bought a pair of flats by Crocs. They are comfy & don't hurt by the end of the day
  • I just found some Cole Haan ballet flats at the outlets that are the absolute best!  I bought every color so I can wear them through third trimester and after....
  • I love my tieks. They're pricey but worth it for me - they're the only ballet flats I've ever been able to tolerate on my wide high arched feet.
  • I use Birkenstock like sandals from madden girl, I know it's not everyone's style but it is mine and they are super comfortable and you can adjust the straps.

  • I also absolutely love my Tieks. So cute and very comfortable.
  • I've been wearing converse and I got some gold Birkenstocks from J crew that are
Pretty spiffy. I will probably wear flip flops for the next few months, I like the Havianas ( spelling) they are thicker foam and I find them more supportive.
  • I go between my Danskos and my Adidas tennis shoes right now.

    • BFP #3 - 1/29/2014 - Ectopic pregnancy discovered 1/31/2014
    • BFP #4 - 9/28/2014 - EDD 6/4/2015 - DS Born 5/31/2015

  • Another for Skechers go walks. Wear them with no show socks- awesome
  • For dressy shoes at work or formal events, I love the brands "Deflex Comfort" and American Eagle, both from Payless. The Deflex is extra stretchy and has extra cushion and the American Eagle are sold in wide sizes. Major plus for those swelling feet! :) For casual shoes, usually just my Reef flip flips or AE flip flops. Though the Reefs have to be broken in/stretched out a bit when they are new.
  • I love Clarks- they have really cute padded flats that were great when I was standing all day at work and the rest of the time I wear my Rainbow sandals.
  • Teva Mush flip flops! I've been pretty much living in mine.

  • I really like Sanuk yoga slings...very comfy
  • My current favorites are: Croc ballet flats, Minnetonka moccasins, and a pair of Bensimon tennis elastique. All slip ons and pretty comfortable :-)
  • I wear flats and sandals at work. At home I live in my L.L. Bean flip flops.

There is a UK brand called Hotter. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. I am on my feet all day teaching and they never hurt. My ankles and feet recently started swelling so I got permission to wear a pair of hotter shoes that lace, so I can loosen them. They are a bit pricey, but I get my money's worth out of them.

  • I've been wearing moccasins everywhere. Maybe not the best shoes for doing a lot of standing/walking, but after a couple times wearing them they stretch right out, so your feet can breathe a bit. And they're comfy. However they may not be the best for hotter weather either, feet will probably sweat in them. I do love my TOMS as well, they're more breathable in hot weather and have more of a sole than mocs. Good for small amounts of standing/walking but might need something with more support for work etc
  • I really really like the old skool Skechers Shape Ups. No joke - the way back in the beginning model that looks kinda bulky and round and just really weird. My feet (arches), ankles, and knees, and back felt so good when I wore those, and at the time I was on my feet all day for work. I must have bought like 4 pairs in succession, back to back as I wore them out. I don't know why I stopped wearing them. I want to buy another pair, but I am waiting until my preggo feet calm down (after baby). I know they were sued for making false claims about them shaping you up, but for me they did help with posture (I'm a mad sloucher) and really did benefit my legs and feet. The arches were nice - I have very flat feet, and that's making being pregnant and on my feet a real pain.

  • I have a pair of Reebok Skyscapes that are comfy. They are the only shoes I have that I can wear all day and not have my feet feel tired or sore at night.
