Sorry to offend anyone. But I don't like this name and I wouldn't use it. Why you ask? It is like every other kids name now. Jackson, Jaxson, Jaxxon. Nope. None of them.
Love Sebastian, but we could never use it for one of our kids because our last name has a ton of S's and if the poor kid had a lisp he'd be doomed. Same most likely goes for Cecilia, which totally sucks because that's one of my all-time favorite girls' names.
Am in love with Vivian for a girl but after 5 months of lobbying, DH still won't budge. DH loves Waylon (boy, obvi) but we are from a redneck area so it would be too redneck vs. hipster lol - same for Jethro. (I hate both.) I also love the name Jaia for a girl but don't think it fits us. I also really like Cecilia, @karaelaine1991 and Celia, but DH vetoes all my favorite girl names
I loved the name Noah for a boy, and Amelia for a girl. Both were shot down
Noah is our son's name, I adore the name though it has become very popular. Unbeknownst to us at the time it was #1 on the SS list for boy names the year DS was born 2012. I loved the name so much that I told my SIL who has 3 kids all boys that if we never had a boy she had to have another and name him Noah, just so I could have someone in our family named it
All the names I love I mostly can't use because of our last name. Its short but completely changes a name (just not going to put it on here because of privacy and shit but I'm sure it's easy to guess).

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

Yeah, if we would have another girl down the road, I would probably bring up Cecilia in spite of the S's thing, just because I love the name that much... but DH will probably veto it totally valid reasons for that, too. But it makes me sad!
We both really liked Nina at first but we can't picture our girl as Nina!
DH is gunning for Alice but it rhymes with our last name. Otherwise I like it, but it would drive me absolutely bonkers.
Oh no! I thought you found something? Evelyn, if I'm remembering right? Definitely might not be remembering that correctly. But I do remember that whatever it was did go well with Pearl!

We did! I think we are going with Evelyn. And I'm pretty confident I'll get the middle name Pearl.
I loved Eleanor, but my hubby shot that one down immediately. He shot down Zachary at first, but I got to him and now that's what we are naming our baby boy!
DH and I both like Connor very much. But, too popular for us. We also briefly debated using the names of people we loved who have passed (his brother Norman, my first true love Jeffrey) but noticed whichever one you put first and middle, it just sounded weird. Especially when paired with DHs last name (which is very long - 18 letters and 4 syllables. I did NOT take that name) And if we only chose one it would have to be the brothers name, but Norman? [-( Also, if we had used Connor we would have had two 'K' sounds in the name. One at Connor and one for the last name.
I LOVE the name Galen for a boy. Just the way it sounds I guess. Unfortunately, I think it might one of those names a kid would get teased for because of the "gay" at the beginning. It makes me sad that this could even be worthy of teasing but DH and I decided it wasn't worth the risk for our LO. Still love it though!
DH loves the name Gavin. Being a teacher, I've never had a sweet Gavin. They're all little toots. So I shot that one down very quickly. Lol. Teaching has ruined so many names for us.
I liked the name Winston but our last name ends in -ton so it was too much.

I have found the exact same thing to be true! Either bad experience with someone who has a certain name or, in my case, a current student who shares the same name. Ugh!
I love the name Rose but unless we end up having more than one girl (currently having a boy and only plan to try for one more due to IVF) I won't be able to use it because we already have our first girl's name picked out (Charlotte after my grandmother). So, maybe a middle name or maybe Ill get lucky and have twin girls next

~~~ EDD for Baby #2 6/28/15~~~~
Amelia is sweet too!
OP: Brooklyn and Kennedy for a girl.
I like Fern and Vera, DH likes Ethel (after his grandma). We vetoed each other's there.
We also bandied about Athena, Elyse, Ivy, Irene, Alma (DH: "Alma? Do you want her to ever date?")
I liked Cal for a boy. I liked Brooke, Sloane and Sage for girls. All were vetoed by DH
Charlotte rose is a pretty name!!
