  • @junebabyh, omg YES to being annoyed by unrinsed sinks. My H is really good about keeping up with dishes/loading the dishwasher, but it never seems to occur to him to rinse food particles out of the sink. It drives me batty to get home from work at night to see that bits of his breakfast have been sitting in the sink all day!

Also, we must have the same neighbor! My next door neighbor has had his Christmas lights up since December 2017... color me unimpressed. And now they have started to get blown partway off from recent windstorms, and he doesn't seem to notice the string of Christmas lights dangling halfway off the roof. 🙄

  • @galentine I think I feel Baby too! Just a few times a day. Also, I understand you about wanting to set up the nursery, whenever I feel an urge I add one more thing on our private baby registry haha. It's helped so far.

What's going on this week? Baby is starting get real bones and fat (I hope it has the chubbiest cheeks in the end)

How far along are you? 17+4

Anyone have an appointment this week? I thought I had one set for yesterday, but thankfully I called ahead and was told that it's NEXT Wednesday (I'm crazy)

Cravings/Symptoms? No real cravings, but as a symptom I've been way more unfocused at work...so annoying because it's not like it lessens my workload

Rants/Raves/Randoms? MH and I have held strong on not letting onto our family/friends that we now know Jelly Bean's sex so I'm proud of us. I think we can actually keep it a secret the whole way through then.

Questions? None really other than, is anyone else freaking out about the upcoming A/S? I feel like because I had abnormal blood work that resulted in needing a CVS, that it must mean that something is wrong that just isn't chromosomal O_O (sorry to be so doom and gloom)

GTKY: what are your pet peeves?

People who can't focus enough to properly retell a story, convey a thought, etc.
People who don't say "thank you"
  • @marbellie, yes, I am also very nervous for the anatomy scan. I had one CP when we were TTC and it messed with my head more than I expected. Also TW for spoiler

My SIL discovered at her A/S that baby no longer had a heartbeat. There had been a cord accident around 16 weeks. It was awful and so heartbreaking. I know it was a fluke, but it's definitely had us worried.

So anyway, yes, I am very nervous too. But I can imagine that your abnormal test results would be weighing on your mind. Sending lots of hugs. Hope the next 3 weeks fly by for us! ❤

@prpl11butterfly, OMG to your coworker publicly flossing. I had an old boss who used to do that, I forgot all about it until now! She would also take the SHARED PHONE into the bathroom with her and make work calls while doing her ahem, personal business. Ack!!

@stephanie123456, yay for an unexpected ultrasound and getting to see baby girl! ❤
  • @prpl11butterfly Yes, definitely agree about the three girls reaction, too!
  • @junebabyh aww sorry that people are being inconsiderate about their reaction to having a boy. They're dumb so just ignore them :)

@galentine you're lucky that YH at least puts it in the dishwasher!! I cannot believe how much mine resists putting dirty dishes in there. If I say no dirty dishes in the sink, well guess what's stacking up NEXT to the sink instead (it's so particular and ridiculous that it's laughable)

@prpl11butterfly yes that makes a lot of sense, it's kind of like I don't expect good news to come from my doctor anymore and the CVS results were a fluke. I kind of go by each day waiting for the rug to be pulled out

@stephanie123456 no next week will be an ordinary monthly appointment, but my A/S is scheduled for the 17th...I'm both looking forward to getting it over with and dreading it /// Also, I pick my nails too...heavily, so I stand with YH lol

@galentine That's so very sad for your SIL and is something that I didn't even think about. I'm more into researching all of the organs that will be reviewed and what (if anything) could be wrong. I'm batty and need to get my nose out of science journals at this point. When is your A/S appointment?
  • @marbellie, sorry - I meant to commiserate and relate to your anxiety. I don't want to make it worse!! Mine is May 20th and cannot come soon enough. I tried to book it during my 19th week but they wouldn't let me schedule it until I was minimum 20w0d. How about you?
  • @galentine don't worry, you didn't make my anxiety worse! Oh I see. My hospital offers it starting at 19 weeks, maybe because the MFM and high risk practice is renowned so they're able to do it earlier. I still wanted to get close to 20 just so there wouldn't be question marks about something not being there or being too small.
