Hi, my husband and I have been TTC for 2 years. We found out after a year and a half of TTC that he has Klinefelter's Syndrome, so our only option was donor sperm. We picked our donor, I had HSG, and some standard blood tests. HSG showed left fallopian tube was open, no dye out of right tube. Then the doctor told me that the blood test came back positive for syphilis. I was destroyed. It had to be wrong. And my husband was negative. I got treated for it, and oh my god, 3 weeks of the most painful shots you can imagine. Then 3 month wait for the "all clear" blood test. After only 2 months, they realized my test results were "contradictory" and they've "never seen this before". Sent my blood to the state labs and eventually the CDC. They aren't sure what is wrong with me, but said I do not have and never did have syphilis. Thats good news. So exploratory laparoscopy to r/o endometriosis was next, and RE found I have congenital absence of right fallopian tube and ovary. So, yesterday I had my first IUI. It was very emotional, which I wasn't expecting.
