Eating . . . /:

Am I the only one but my boyfriends mom and dad rag about me eating and call me fat and its really just taken away my appetite and made me feel horrible . I have been so upset I've hidden the fact that im eating and have gone days with only eating something small till dinner . I really don't know how to cope with this with out getting upset . I really need some support on this one .

  • Yeah , its driving me crazy and I feel so bad for the baby that they are putting me down so bad about having a bigger appetite that im losing it . My doctor told me not to ignore the hunger but try and ignore the cravings but I have to ignore the hunger because if I eat I get yelled out or told how im fat and I don't need to eat that much I've cut myself down to a pb&J around lunch and then I have to wait for my boyfriend to get off and I can get a snack and eat dinner with out the criticism from his parents .
  • That is most definently not okay. Bf needs to get them in line asap.
  • Figure out how many calories you should be taking in for your size and keep up with it like on a fitness app or something. During the first trimester you shouldn't be eating more. The second you need to add 300 calories. And by the third add 500 calories. Don't stress yourself if you go over every now and then because you had a craving. But it helps to see where you have room to give in to craving and where you really shouldn't. And when someone says something about how much you are eating you can tell them you are within the calorie range that you should be in and they will have to shut up.
  • His mother should especially know how it is to be pregnant and shouldn't rag on you about it. Definitely talk to your boyfriend about this. If you need to, keep snacks in your bedroom and eat them in private. It shouldn't be like that but you have to do what you can to keep you & baby healthy. Pregnant or not, eating that little isn't healthy for anyone. Be sure to eat 3 meals a day & snack in private in between meals. Hopefully things get better for you!
  • I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. Don't restrict your calories just because of two awful people. They need to f*ck off.
  • My boyfriend has tried they tell him how I've gained weight and im looking chubby which is funny they say that because when I went to the doctors I lost 2 pounds since the pregnancy . I am going to look into the app for your calories because then I can just tell en to f*** off and prove to them im not eating more then im supposed to and yah know I think they shouldn't really have any room to call me fat seeing as they aren't a very healthy bunch there selves . Its really heart breaking to me that its making me pretty much go hungry and not feed my growing baby because they are hurtful .
  • Well , his mom didn't know she was pregnant until she was 5 months and she thinks that its all in my head when im hungry and that my cravings are just pregnancy thoughts and they aren't real . And she tells me how I don't need to eat healthy because the baby will take all the nutrition he/she will need from my body . She is kind of out of whack and I don't think she has a clue about everything . My boyfriend and I are trying to get our own place so I don't have to deal with their mouths always nagging me and putting me down but its hard because I can't find a job and I know I really won't be able to find one once im showing more . I really wanna find a nutritionist to go to through out my pregnancy just so I have true proof of what I should be eating from the doctor .
