Bright red bleeding/spotting at 33w and 6d.

Had painful head butting/punching on my crotch all night and woke up to bright red blood in the porty and when I wipe. Midwife on call said to just monitor the amount and any cramping and call for an appointment when my dr's office opens. Wondering if anyone has experienced this in third trimester?

    I had bleeding from 23-33 weeks. Not bright red however. I would get into the doctor everytime to have them reassure that everything is ok. That's my advice!

    Thanks! If it were a lot more bleeding I'd head to hospital. My appointment is in 6 hours so staying in bed till I go. What was your bleeding from?

    Oh wow! I'm such a hot paranoid mess I would have instantly googled and scared the piss out myself! I wish I had the calm about me to relax about things like you but I don't. Please do let us know what it was. :) hoping all is okay!

    They aren't quite sure... Haha. They said possible placental abruption... But it was marginal. I have been resting a lot since then. Just trust the doctor... It could be your body preparing. Good luck !!!

    I had bright red bleeding 4 days before my membranes ruptured prematurely, I had come to L&D for that and they ruled out anything that would be awful and put me on pelvic rest, 4 days later ruptured. So take it easy, everyone is different and in no way am I saying your going to rupture but I would put yourself on minimal activity even if the hospital doesn't.

    Thanks for all the advice! Baby girl (Hartley Annelise) checked out great! Weighing in at 5lb 6oz and had lots of hair!! Placenta looked great and so did fluids. They said the bleeding was "spontaneous" bleeding of the cervix. Could be effacing or dilating but they don't want to do any checks if it's already irritated. The bleeding had turned to brownish discharge by the time I left for appointment. I was pretty freaked out but my wonderful hubby and my big sister (who lives right next door) calmed me and stayed with me to pass the time till is midwife appointment. I am scared of my water breaking cause it did at home with my last pregnancy! But not till 41w and 3d! My first 2 pregnancies the dr had to break my water during labor!

    And I have been on pelvic rest and modified bedrest for going on 3 weeks so not sure what "irritated" my cervix! Lol

    Wow! What a great size!! I had my growth scan due to being at the hospital now and my little one was measuring just over 4. Grow baby grow!!!

    My first baby was 7lb 12oz, second was 8lb 15oz and third was 8lb 13oz! I'm use to good size babies!
