3d Ultrasound? ??

Ladies, I really want to know what I am having. I started seeing a new dr now that I moved and they feel I am almost 18 weeks not 16. They still won't tell me the gender until 20 weeks. I decided to pay for a 3d. I am getting so much backlash from my family about this. What's the big deal??? I want to see my baby:( I know I am being impatient.

    I did the same thing. Found out gender at 15 wks instead of waiting until 20 wks like I would have had to with my doctor. Didn't get any backlash about it. Hang in there mama :)

    I have an appointment at a "boutique" ultrasound place on Monday! I cannot wait. I paid the $60 so we can find out sooner. We still won't find out until April 18 when we have our gender reveal party at my mom's house. I thought it would be fun to find out at the same time as the rest of my family since we are all super close!

    3D scans are amazing. I had one done with my 2nd child & they are out of this world. I would say do what you want & not what others want you to do. Your the one that's pregnant & your the one that's carrying this baby. Go with your heart & not with your head :)

    Ultra sound isn't bad for the baby so why would anyone make you feel bad? It's totally normal to want to find out. I found out at 14 weeks because I couldn't wait and I work in a diagnostic imaging department :)

    I think we were posting the exact same thing at the exact same time! My office will do my gender ultrasound at 21 weeks but i just don't have the patience to wait that much longer. I called a local office and they are able to get me in this friday. I'll be at the end of my 15th week and they offer a free rescan if the baby doesn't cooperate. At first my husband thought it was a little crazy to set up and pay out of pocket when we can just wait....but he should know by now how impatient I am. I'm not nervous about the baby cooperating, I'm more nervous about accuracy for 15 weeks.
