Hey ladies! I have been using a pregnancy journal only fill it out every 2-4 weeks premade one for hallmark. I was wondering if anyone else is doing this and what to write at this point...... What will this kid want to hear in 18 years when he reads it ? ( yes were corny and read my husbands baby book this Christmas). I feel like I keep repeating myself ( excited about movement etc) This pregnancy has been so rough I don't want to add too much of that depressing stuff in it! Any suggestions or what your doing helps!!! Thanks.
Re: Pregnancy journaling
But, I guess you could fill the space with what you were kinda doing that day. "I went to the consignment store and got 16 cute onesies for $8 today! Every single I time I picked one up I thought of baby in it and poked the belly like the Pillsbury dough boy!" "I got the wall decals for the nursery today and can't wait to put them up once dad moves his gaming crap out of the nursery!" You could add in your 'boner' of the day stuff, like when I forgot the word refrigerator, and the DH say the darnest things stuff.
I guess I would say what I would try to capture the most is to let your personality shine out, so choose topics that allow that to happen. Something where you don't feel like you are setting down words to carry thru time, but more talking to a friend. I think if I were a newly grown adult reading something like that about my mom, I'd enjoy that glimpse into her as the person she is, the person her friends hung out with, the person my dad fell in love with. A peek behind the curtain of mom, so to speak.
I also keep little notes on my phone, just because it's normally with me and if there's something I don't want to forget.
Sometimes something DH says, or someone at church/friends.
If you have a baby shower you could write about that. Even things your family does/says/buys about baby coming or pregnancy.
