What position is your baby in?

I went to the doctor Friday at 35 weeks and baby is in the transverse (sideways) position. Dr said it's possible he might turn, but most babies are in the ready position by now and that it will probably hurt if he moves now..I will have to have a c-section May 4th if he doesn't turn. I delivered my other two children naturally so I'm a little nervous...

Last time I went baby was transverse, today at 35w4d she was head down. But my tech said she could still move. Had a friend where baby was headdown and then last minute when transverse, so.... you just never know. Hope your baby turns! But no matter what, it will be ok

Mine is transverse too (36 weeks). With my first he was basically moved like a pendulum and still moved after 40 weeks. He ended up being head down when I went into labor at 41 weeks

He's head down but sunny side up. That's weird your dr said that baby won't move. My midwife didn't seem concerned and said he still had time to move.

Last time I went to the Dr. at 32 weeks, she said that LO was head down. I've been feeling all of the kicks towards my ribs, so i'd say she was correct!

I'm 32+1 and my LO is sideways. Literally butt on the left, head on the right, he has turned a few times but I keep feeling him come back to this position.

I am 35 weeks and completely breech. Doc says he should turn in the next month but if he doesn't their not even going to try turning him I'll just have to have a c-section. I've accepted either form of delivery as long as he arrives safe and healthy. Hubby on the other hand is freaking out at the idea of a c-section.

My first was transverse until 39 weeks and he turned head down during the night. I didn't even feel it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Worst case scenario - you have a healthy baby by csection.

When I had my Ultrasound last Tuesday at 31w3d he was head down and low. And he is long. Can still feel all his kicks in my ribs so he's still head down. Hoping he stays that way

My son moved to head down at 28 weeks but moved back to breech. I am now 36 weeks and 4 days. They want to induce me late next week possibly, so most likely i will be having a c section.

Baby has been going from transverse to head down for weeks. I'm just trying to go with whatever happens, while hoping for a vaginal delivery.

I'm 34w3d and the OB said baby was head down at my 32 week appointment, however, I think he's half head down and half transverse because I feel his butt on my left side and his kicks on my far right side; he stretches sideways too, no outright upwards movement. I have an ultrasound on Monday so I'll know more then.

Thats true but doesn't mean you can't have a natural birth. Thats what I'm facing right now too and really want to go natural. My friend/doula delivered her first like that and her second turned right before he came out. Both were completly natural births so its possible.

Head down and been that way since week 21 but they told me he could shift or stay that way. I am hoping he just stays .

My son was posterior and I didnt have the back labor (at least I Dont think I did. Contractions were extremely painful, but not in my back) no one knea he was posterior until he came out. How can they tell? I heard if you have a posterior you might be more likely to have another

Thats true but doesn't mean you can't have a natural birth. Thats what I'm facing right now too and really want to go natural. My friend/doula delivered her first like that and her second turned right before he came out. Both were completly natural births so its possible.

I was able to deliver my first natural, drug free "sunny side up" it was really hard, but possible.

35 weeks today and he's head down and facing towards my right hip. We had an ultrasound and the tech could barely get his face bc it was smashed up against me. We are taking a birthing class and learn last night we want him facing my back but doc isn't worried, she said there's still time for him to move around.

33 weeks and breech. Head is at my side/ribs and bottom in near my hip.. Nervous because my last pregnancy was head down early and always... I wasn't expecting this but learning to accept it

I am 36 weeks and my baby is still breech, he moves around so much but has yet to flip, I know of people whose babies didn't flip until the last moment so I'm hoping he flips soon but I just want a healthy baby and safe birth so c section is not the worst thing.

At my apt today the dr said he thinks my LO is head down but wasn't 100%. I am 32 w 2 days

This my situation as well and potentially will be my 2nd breech baby and c-section. Meeting with the Dr. on Thursday and will express that I do not want a version. I still hope she will flip, but will have to schedule a c-section just to be safe. My husband is freaked out about a VBAC, which is what I would prefer.

Yesterday baby was head up (34w4d) at an elective u/s. He was all scrunched up in a teeny little ball with all four limbs in front of his face.

I have a doc appt Saturday so hoping he moves.....

At 35 weeks baby was head down at the drs office. A few days later I felt her moving a lot. It was uncomfortable. I had an ultrasound at 36 weeks and she was breech. A few days after that baby was moving so much it hurt. It lasted like a half hour and at my 37 week appointment baby was head down again. It's highly possible that your baby will flip too... It's uncomfortable but it can definitely happen

My babe has been breech, head up, legs up and butt down since 28Weeks and hasn't changed positions at all, I am now almost 36 weeks. Dr scheduled a c section at 39 weeks. He is on the big side and its hoarding all fluid up top so Dr doesn't think he will turn. I have accepted this and knew it was a possibility for a while. Haven't felt and pressure down there either sho I think he it's comfy where he is. Head laying on Comfy placenta.

35+4 and baby is head down but oblique. Her little butt loves to be under my right rib cage

I'll take it though since Dr said oblique babies usually always turn straight down during labor!

I am 36 weeks. My little girl is traditional breech and has been for the last two weeks or so. We went in today, after doing exercises to try to flip her for a week, and she is still a stubborn little thing and breech. We have a manual version scheduled next week and then today doc scheduled a c-section for early May. I'll let you ladies know how the manual version goes. I was planning a vaginal birth but we are trying to be open and accepting of whatever needs to happen to have a happy, healthy baby.

I'm 35 weeks, my doctor thinks she's breech but I'll have an ultrasound next week to make sure and if she is we'll be scheduling a c section.

Just went to the doctor today and asked if she could feel around and tell me what position baby was in. Happy to report that at 36w5d baby is head down and pretty low!!

I'm 35 and 2 days ... And she's head down at last! I had a sonogram at 33/6 and she was breech. I was so hormonal at the time that it really upset me and I spent the last week crawling around the house on my hands and knees trying to get her to flip. Whether that helped or not, at my appointment today my doc was able to see she's in position and we're hoping gravity holds her there. The doc said since I'm short it's possible she won't turn again but we have one more US on the 20th to make sure.

The experience has taught me anything can happen ... They pretty much do what they want so I'm trying not to stress it. Hopefully she stays where she is but if I wind up having to do a c-section, I've made my peace with it.

My baby was breach, 37 weeks, she flipped!
I did all kinds of things to help flipping.
Swimming, upside down in pool, jacuzzi and pool alteration, some poses everyday.
I don't know that helped, but 37th week, she flipped.

I was mentally ready for c section, but now I have to be ready for viginal delivery!

I have an ultrasound with the doc tomorrow but pretty sure he is still breech because he feels exactly the same as he did last week when I saw on the elective u/s that he was frank breech. Ugh.

I want a healthy baby so I've accepted that if it's medically needed I will have a C section...but I'm having a hard time accepting one just because he has poor sense of direction.

I've started doing some poses and stuff, I have a consultation scheduled with an acupuncturist/chiro office on Monday. Will also be hitting the pool and practicing poses.

If he decides he doesn't want to move -- that's his choice but I'm going to do my best to help him along.

This is why I love being apart of the bump!! And the may 2015 birth club! I never joined any "clubs" before with either of my previous 2 pregnancies. It's just SOOOOO reassuring to come on here and find people who are going through the exact same things as you.

I'm 33 w + 2 and had a doc appt yesterday. Baby is in a super weird position- head under my upper right rib cage, butt at my lower left, and feet against my cervix. She called in a cross between transverse and full on breech. Baby girl has felt like this for weeks and weeks. Doc said they would try to turn her at my next appt on the 21st. If it doesn't work then we will have to discuss c-section options. My other 2 were completely cooperative babies and in position weeks early!! I'm scared about the pain. Having a c-section never crossed my mind before so I'm having a little hard time wrapping my head around it. But I came on here to see if anyone else was going through this too- and bam! Lots of you.

I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and baby was head down!!! Doctor was surprised I didn't feel him move into position but I didn't! So I guess we are planning on a natural labor now!! I had to be induced with my other two because I was 10 days late both times and I never started dilating or effacing without cytotec..we'll see if this baby is the same as his sisters...

Am 34weeks 3days n baby is head down since I was 28weeks. I knew he went head down because at 27weeks 6days, I had the worse cramps ever really thought it was early labor. But it was just him turning around.
