Question about TDAP

I got the prescription to go and get the shot, and just realized that I never got it. The reason I just realized it is because our puppy just ACCIDENTALLY caught my finger in his mouth and it cut my finger. It stopped bleeding but the skin is broken deep enough that I am concerned about NEEDING the shot for it.

Question is:
A-Should I go to ER to get the shot? or
B-Can I wait until tomorrow? or
C-Is it too late to take the shot period at 39w5d?

I haven't put in a call to my midwife yet because it isn't an emergency situation and I was curious to see what you guys thought. I can't really find much consistent information on Google.

    27 - 36 weeks gestation is optimal period.

    Might be a little late to comment back on this, but I would suggest getting it tomorrow, as a non emergent issue. Better late than never, and they'll frequently just give it after you deliver if you haven't gotten it yet. You may have even had a booster in the recommended ten year interval for tetanus. Baby may not get the passive immunity, but you'll beprotected from pertussis at least.

    You should still get it. I really doubt you'll get tetanus from your dog but its definitely good to be protected from it as well as pertussis.

    Yes, get the shot. There is an ideal time sure during pregnancy, but you want to protect your newborn against the whooping cough!

    You should get the shot, but keep in mind that it is too late for it to affect the injury you already have. It takes two weeks for your body to produce antibodies in reaction to a vaccination.

    Just keep an eye on your injury and get antibiotic treatment if you develop a fever or if the wound smells bad or gets hot and swells. I doubt your puppy was able to puncture you deeply enough to give you tetanus.
