Re: What is everyone taking...

  • I think a reputable fish oil is good (I use Nordic naturals) but I would stay away from uneccessary supplements because the industry isn't well regulated and there have been many supplements found to have other things in them (not what's on the label) and/or not to contain what is on the label. I do also take vitamin D but only because my OB tested me and found I was deficient.

  • I use nordic naturals also for a fish oil supplement and my endocrinologist prescribed me vit d because I also tested deficient. I wouldn't take anything else either besides that and my prenatal. I also agree with not taking more risk than necessary with supplements.
  • I take Wegman's brand gummy prenatal vitamins.

I would not take anything that was not recommended at this point.

  • Vita fusion gummy prenatal. They are way better than the horse pills you have to swallow. My ob said I didn't need to take anything extra right now since all my labs looked good.
  • I take the Honest company prenatal vitamin and DHA pills. I like them. Aside that I was told not to take any other supplements unless recommended or approved by my doc. Particularly iron supplement.
  • I like the Similac prenatal. It is the only one I found with lutein, and has higher levels of calcium, but c, b3 and b6 than most. The pack comes with a fish oil/DHA add on. I feel much better since I switched from a generic.
  • Thanks everyone! I will talk to my dr. When I see him Friday!!

  • Prenatal DHA by Nordic naturals.
  • I'm taking CVS brand prenatal &DHA at the moment and just making sure I'm eating lots of fruits & veggies im also eating & drinking dairy like it's going out of style so I'm not concerned about getting enough other nutrients. I wouldn't take anything else without consulting with your OB. You want to make sure it's safe and necessary!
  • I take Centrum Prenatal vitamins as well as DHA vitamins by centrum that are also prenatal. I also take calcium and vitamin D. Research shows that pregnant women should take as much as 4000 iu daily and prenatals only have 600 iu. I take them at different times throughout the day and I feel great. Look into it. :)

1 a day prenatal the purple gel capsules. It has DHA already in them so one pill a day is all you need. I could get prenatals free thru insurance but I would rather pay for these. I love them I swear it helped to regulate my cycle, and to get pregnant. Im going to continue taking them once baby is born.
  • I was taking natures bounty prenatel vitamins with omega 3 but i was getting so sick as usual with prenatal vitamins so i switched to my kids flinstone vitamins and have really modified my diet to have the largest variety of healthy foods that i can, the produce store i think loves me with how often I am there getting a bit of everything

I am taking my pre-natal vitamins and magnesium. (took magnesium with my first for headaches and worked like a charm, this time taking it because I have not been sleeping well)
