For April Fools I plan to wake up early & tell hubby my water broke. I haven't gotten him the past couple of years. What about you? Any plans for April Fools Day?

Re: April Fools plans?

  • I'm really superstitious so I would be scared that I would say that and then later it would actually happen and he wouldn't believe me lol!

  • I was going to do something like that until last Sunday when I fell went into early labor and almost had a 33week baby. Now somehow I just don't see that quite as funny as I did not do I think my husband would. Lol. So since we are team green im gonna pretend my dr told me the babys sex by accident.
  • Ha! I would have the perfect opportunity to do something with this since my next doc appointment is tomorrow. I don't think H would be thrilled if I told him my water broke though since that would be really stressful and awful. Maybe I'll tell him the doc gave me an US and said we're having a girl instead of a boy. ;)
  • Hahah! That's great! I think I should do that. DH always freaks out thinking every pain I have is labor pain and I'm about to have the baby so I think this would be perfect. I wasn't planning on doing anything but this would be pretty funny. Hopefully I can make myself act serious enough to make it work. Haha
  • That is my birthday =)  However, since it is my birthday it is REALLY hard to catch someone in my house off guard because they always remember that its April Fools day......so we do nothing! haha

Love this idea! My husband would freak out!

  • I love the ideas but I don't have the heart to do it to my DH. Poor thing would freak out!
  • my coworker who is going to take over part of my job is freaked out about me going into labor early - I plan to text her tomorrow morning saying I'm going into labor...  :-j
  • When my husband was getting ready this morning, I exclaimed "my water broke!". He had a moment of panic, but when he saw me, he just started laughing and have me a high five :) I also got my coworker good. I had my boss in on it and she played along. I used my husbands phone to text my coworker that I was in labor. When I walked into work her response was "I hate you".... She was mad for a few minutes, but thought it was a good one. My other coworkers found it hilarious too because she was seriously freaking out about taking over my work
  • I had just the opposite. I really started spotting bright red blood and contracting took me forever to convince my friend to drive me to the doctor. I finally sent her pictures and she was very apologetic. Still at the hospital on the monitor praying my 33 weeker stays put. Sooo glad I didn't plan a real prank.
  • I did it...
My sister in law and I are both pregnant and we went in on it together. I texted my MIL in a group text that my water broke, then my SIL replied that she'd been having contractions. "How great of both babies come on the same day?!" Then I went into a meeting at work.

I came back to my phone being blown up! My MIL left work, cancelled her dr apt, called her friends and texted me saying "I'm on my way!"

She hasn't replied to my "happy April fools" text. I think I might be in trouble. So, I called my mom and had her text my MIL pretending that we pranked her too so she wouldn't be mad.

It ended up being a positive thing because we hadn't told MIL that we don't want her at the hospital until after we have our after-delivery room. Where did she think she was on her way to today?!

My mom totally saved not only my bad prank but saved me from having to have the conversation with MIL. My mom said "next time I'm not leaving the house until they tell me that the baby is out" and MIL said "good idea"

Anyways, I still think the whole situation is hilarious. MIL must have gone back to work and had to admit to getting tricked. I'm awful. :)

Anyone else pull off the prank today?

This really made me laugh!! Hahaha I absolutely do not want people waiting in the hospital for me to push my baby out. It's hard enough as it is without having to think that someone is sitting out in the lobby!!!

I don't want anyone waiting either. Even though MIL is so angry, I'm thankful that it starts the conversation. She called last night to tell me that she had to work an overnight to make up for leaving. I guess she learned her lesson! Haha
