I am measuring 3 weeks bigger then what I am susposed to be and I'm having contractions already. Does this mean I will have a short labor? My first was 23 hours and I just don't think I could handle that again!
Not just everyone but every pregnancy is different they say if you try and stay calm it will not make it seem so long also if you try and stay home in a comfortable environment it could go by faster for you. Good luck!
My midwife told me the other day that the first time you labor is usually the longest and the second time is usually cut in half. She also said it's all a guessing game.
My first was 18 hours, my second was 5 and my third was 4.5. What I realized is the first one I was sitting a lot and the baby wasn't able to move down. If you are able, walk and kneel on birthing balls more then sit and try to avoid being connected to IV's, epidurals as long as possible.
