Daily Symptoms 4/1

These pregnancy symptoms are no joke!

Today I'm feeling:

-bloated
-dehydrated
-emotional
-fatigued
-sensitive
-sore in the pelvis and hips
-gassy
-sensitive to baby's movements (is that my ovary?!)
-nauseated
-overwhelmed

How are my fellow preggos doing on this joke of a day??

Re: Daily Symptoms 4/1

  • I'm feeling really large and lumbering-I'm all belly today it seems.  And it's scary that it's going to grow more! Other than that, just the usual-hair falling out, lower back pain, etc. Blah.

  • Mellymar how long did your lack of appetite etc. last? After having very limited morning sickness my first trimester I felt awful all day yesterday and ended up getting sick a few times in the evening. No temp. and I'm pretty sure it's acid reflux related from the but certainly freaked me out. Trying to eat small amounts of bland food, but any suggestions are welcome.
  • So I died a little inside today. I have gotten hemoroids. I want to cry! Idk if I should just call my nurse and see what she says to do or just go to the store and load up on things
  • Today I'm just feeling tired. Though I slept decently, I just feel worn out and of course when I got to work (CP) both of the little kids were already awake and a bit too hyper for how early it is. I'm also really hungry and though I know it's just because LO is growing, it can be difficult coping with appetite increases at work...I'm just looking forward to tomorrow being my working Friday and Friday being my two important doctors appointments. Just so ready for this week to be over.
    Also have:
    - Brittle nails
    - Off and on pains in my right hip
    - Breathlessness
    - Strong, sometimes uncomfortable baby kicks/movements
    - Unusual facial dryness (like a sunburn before it peels)
  • My main symptom (since sunday) has been abdominal pain :( I originally thought i was just kinda sore from socializing at my shower but now it's a little concerning. And of course everything doctor google tells me is either "oh that's normal" or "pelvic pressure and abdominal pain could be very serious" . Since it's not constant and mostly just when i get up from sitting or sit up in bed or need to lift my legs up (ie putting on socks), I'm assuming it's normal but it's really wretched! It doesn't help that i'm feeling gassy too. I'm assuming the two are related. WAH. Pregnancy is so damn glamourous
  • @Mommaswizz i have been having some abdominal pain as well.. Seems to be only when I'm bending over to pick something up. I also have been having gas issues so I'm just going to assume that's what it is ( which is why I haven't mentioned it to DH). Just make sure you keep tabs on it and if it gets worse call the doc!!

Epsom salt baths every night has helped me the most. I have tucks for wiping and I make sure to take miralax. mine are still present but they don't hurt bad anymore. I really think it's the baths mixed with witchhazel keeping the tolerable. I feel for ya though I panicked when I discovered mine. I haven't felt normal since :(
  • Stood up last night and realized my nipples had soaked my shirt ! And I am just increasingly uncomfortable.
  • I am so glad that so many of us seem to be feeling the same/similar. I'm so damn irritated with these discomforts bc while they aren't as bad as some other pregnancy symptoms, they are really trying. Good to commiserate.

@mellymar - my belly button is hanging on for dear life! I don't know if it'll go "outtie" or not, but it's definitely become super shallow! It's so weird!

And baby movements are getting to be slightly uncomfortable. When did that happen? It was thumping last week, now my belly looks like a waterbed, haha!
  • Leg cramps have officially started ugh. Every morning when I stretch, instant pain in my legs and bump. I don't remember having the pain in my bump too So thats new.

Warmer weather had kept me busy and every time I come back to the board I get overwhelmed. Is it just me or have we had an increase in posts??? I think I have increased anxiety just trying to find you guys lately.
  • Thank you @jmk729 It helps to hear others are dealing with this too! I'm hoping it stays the same till Friday when i'm going in to see my doc any way. I'll definitely ask her a bunch of questions to see what she thinks. I'm so worried for my glucose test, i hope i remember to ask about the ab pain lol
  • Migraines.
    Swollen feet.
Braxon Hicks. ( so painful I have to practice my breathing)
I'm moody.. Just a hot mess over here.
  • Nausea seems to have returned to annoy me again which is frustrating bc i am starving! And baby flipping movements almost make it worse ugh the worst though is how one day im happy next day im all blubbery especially when my husband leaves to go to work...sounds really cheesy :/ the mixed emotions is just insaneee
  • My feet aren't swollen but I have a red patch behind each ankle. Showed them to my doctor on Monday & she said it's just blood flow from being on my feet so much. It looks weird though! My feet also hurt today! I'm ready to go home and put them up! Little boy's movements are definitely getting stronger and last night we could feel him pressed against the side of my belly. He's been moving a ton today too. Mostly, I'm just exhausted--almost like 1st trimester tired, but I don't think it's that bad yet...
  • I don't even feel pregnant today. Yesterday I felt big movements at the top of my belly and today I only feel little ones down low. I'm trying not to stress out about it because I do still feel the baby moving, just not as much, and I realize that she probably just moved into a different position. Besides that, I'm just so hungry.
  • @megtyrrell I felt the same way at the beginning of the week. I still felt him but it seemed like not as much. Well he rolled or something because it's nonstop today and it was last night too! She'll start getting you again soon
  • Got my Tdap injection today since I'll be seeing my MIL next week and she's had confirmed cases of pertussis in her first grade classroom. I hate shots but this one wasn't bad thank goodness! Other than that LO is active and my hips are hurting... all normal symptoms here!

  • @amccoy129 Thank you for your reassurance. It helps! :) I have a doctor's appointment early tomorrow morning so I'll just mention it to my doctor then.
  • Feeling tired and a little sluggish... Heart burn really acted up last night! I do feel excited that it is April though!
  • Is anyone else's wee smelling weird/bad? I had a UTI and took antibiotics. My UTI symptoms have gone but something is still not right. Have a telephone appointment with my doc in the morning but curious as to whether anyone else is experiencing this? (Sorry if a bit gross and TMI.)
  • @megtyrrell I had the same thing last week. Her movements went from very obvious to faint and deep inside. I talked to my doc about it yesterday and she said that increasing my water intake would help. She said I need an extra liter in the third trimester anyway. Though I feel like I am constantly drinking now, her movements have increased in intensity and regularity. Hope this helps some.
  • I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself today.... just feel really tired and my back is so achey this evening.... have a long tough day on my feet ahead of me in work tomorrow which isn't helping.... also heartburn sucks.... :-(
  • @Addelie that happened to me today but I thought I just hadn't had enough water, hmmm...

@devyns2nd I get cramps in my calves and in the arch of my right foot. I've found that flexing my ankle and toes up towards the sky relieves the pain (as much as anything does) but pointing them down really exacerbates it. Read that on here somewhere and it made all the difference. Maybe you know that trick already. Hope they go away soon for you!

@devyns2nd I second @amark11 ! I've been doing this in the morning too, since I had been getting calf cramps. I do it every morning now and it almost always either fixes them or keeps them from happening at all. There have been a few times when the cramp was so bad that I couldn't actually get my toes up like you're supposed to (which was seriously excruciating) but DH was able to help me and that worked. Hope that helps!

An EXTRA liter!?!? My gods, man, I'm already drinking the recommended 2 liters a day now! Sometimes I have to force myself to get that last half a liter down. I remember in the 1st trimester I was happy if completed a liter!

So. Much. Water. (Tho I admit I feel pretty crappy now if I don't get at least a liter)
No wonder we all have to pee so much

  • @amark11 i was like hmmm too. Will let you know if doc says anything significant.
  • Painful contractions over here. Not regular. My OB said the painful contractions are not Braxton hicks. She said they are a sign I'm overdoing it and need to relax a little more and stay hydrated. She told me I cannot lift another load of laundry up and down stairs and cannot lift heavy groceries anymore. Currently resting but feeling restless!

  • @mellymar I totally played it off to the doc like "yeah no problem," when inside I was like WTF?! I feel like my eyeballs will start floating soon. I just got a Costco membership for the savings in toilet paper alone. (Just kidding...kinda).
  • Swollen feet and hands, I have the dry (presunburn) skin too. And I feel large...I got my maternity pictures today and I feel like I look like a mac truck in a few of them...and my pelvic bone feels like it could give way at any moment...

Take care of yourself! It can be frustrating to not do the things that you're used to doing, but try to enjoy this relaxation, even though it's forced. I'm a FTM, but from what I've heard, we're all going to be wishing we had more time for R&R in a few months! I hope you feel better soon! :)

  • Had to go to the ER today. I got really short of breath at work, felt nauseous, and my arms were tingly. Tried sitting still and catching my breath for like 20 minutes and thought I was going to have a heat stroke. Called my doctor and they sent me to the ER. Everything was good, but the doctor said it's easy to hyperventilate while pregnant and not realize it's happening. He said it throws of pH levels causing the tingling. I'm glad to be home now and in bed. I'm exhausted

What a scary experience! It sounds like you're doing better now and I'm glad to hear it. I hope you have a relaxing night after such a stressful day!
Thanks @karaelaine1991! I feel kinda silly because deep down I knew we were both ok, but I figured better safe than sorry. Of course I work over an hour from home so I had a coworker drive me to the hospital near my office and my sister met me there and took me to meet my mom who drove me back home and is currently driving my husband back by my office on her way home to get my car. I feel like a huge inconvenience to everyone.
  • @KarasTwin glad it all turned out OK! Get some rest, mama

Hey, you're right - better safe than sorry. I'm sure everyone else feels the same. It would have been terrible if there actually had been a more severe problem and you hadn't gone in!

  • Ahhh @KarasTwin how scary!! So glad you're okay! I hope you have a nice restful night after that craziness
  • @KarasTwin glad to hear you are ok!

As for me on having the abdominal pain others are having, mostly when getting up or bending over.

Also this baby has been awake for I swear 24 hours straight and is kicking the ever loving sh*t out of my ribs. I'm pretty annoyed and can't sleep. Might be time for Tylenol PM.

Also, how is my nausea back???
