  If the sac is completely empty then I'd say there's probably no chance. From what I understand (I've had this happen twice) there should at least be a yolk sac by now if not also a fetal pole. If it makes you feel any better, you can wait to miscarry on your own rather than having a d&c. I've done both, and I preferred miscarrying on my own at home, it gave more closure and did away with the "what if" worries I had with the d&c. I'm sorry you're going through this.

  I've read some other forums. I searched online and there was some people having empty sac at 6 weeks and we're now 13 weeks pregnant

  Here's one I found >I was six weeks pregnant and my obgyn said "this is a def miss" needless to say I was devastated. I cried for days and then found this blog. I went to a different obgyn three days later and there was baby and all. I am now 32 weeks pregnant. Please give your babies time to grow before you get so worried.

  I thought I was 6 weeks and 3 days and I also saw an empty sac. Went back today and there was a fetal pole and a heartbeat. It's not necessarily bad...just early.

  Thanks so much my dr has been worrying me since I was about 3 weeks one week im normal the next im miscarryingg and the next im normal and so on its been a roller coaster today I was told its def done and expect to miscarry just been so upset with the bed side manner

  I had this happen in nov. I went back every week for 3 weeks, there was no change just a sac. I ended up having and d and c. You can also get your hcg levels checked 2 days apart. If they are rising then maybe you are not as far along as you think. If it's not rising, I'm sorry. I have been through it recently and know how you feel. The roller coaster is the worst! Good luck!
