It's peanut. And, knowing my family, it may be called that after birth as well, lol. They called my brother slinky, and that one stuck til puberty, lol.
I was calling mine "zygote" or "gummy bear". I guess I can't call it zygote anymore so I'll probably start calling it embryo. I know...so technical. I have a 13-year-old daughter that I call "offspring" and "the kid". She doesn't like it when I call her "offspring" :-P
With my first it was "little grain of rice" because that's what I thought of when I saw the first ultrasound at 8w2d. First ultrasound with this one will be next week at 9w4d so I will hopefully be inspired then.
I'm terrible at nicknames. I don't call my husband anything other than his name. So I've been calling mine "the baby". I'm sure eventually my husband will come up with some weird name (I mean this as in he comes up with really strange nicknames and has this whole like background story to them not that giving a nickname to it is weird) to call it but for now he's been going along with me.
My co workers oddly call my baby "clidis the fetus " we are vet techs so it's a inside joke Hubby calls it little girl since that's his guess although I know deep inside its a boy
I called him/her "Poopa". Not sure why exactly. A day or two after my BFP, my husband was teasing me about something and I said "leave me and ....uhh..p. POOPA alone!" And it just stuck. So it's our little Poopa
Well I only found out this morning, we've mostly just been saying The Baby. But I told my friend from work, who kept calling it Sweet Pea. It'll probably be that for a while.
Re: What are you calling your little one now?
Our first I called Love Bug because I was due 2/12. She was actually born on Valentine's Day!
