What is your favorite brand of diapers?

I'm a FTM and went to register today & when we got to diapers, we had no clue! So I thought I would ask, what is your favorite brand of diapers? Why? Or should I just register for some of each & test them all out? Lol. Thanks in advance!

Re: What is your favorite brand of diapers?

  • I liked pampers because they never leaked and all the others did. But I've heard lots of moms with different preferences so I think trying some out is a good idea.

Pampers for us. I have a friend who swears by Huggies though.
  • Pampers for us, too.
  • I've heard great things about Pampers but I don't see it. We love Huggies! I've tried Pampers, Luvs, The Honest Company, and generic brands. Still choose Huggies. Wipes are also something you'll have to choose. My daughter got a rash from Huggies Free n Natural but when I switched to our grocery store brand, unscented, no rash. Every baby's skin is different so you just have to try and see.

If you are researching for your registry, I wouldn't put a brand. People know to buy diapers for a shower. Let them pick and hope you'll receive a variety!
  • Pampers swaddlers are by far my favorite. We tried Huggies one time and they leaked everywhere, I've never had any issues with pampers and have already started stock piling them again for this time around.
  • PAMPERS!!!!
Lol super soft and they don't leak like huggies
I don't like huggies they feel like plastic
  • Pampers nb-2 or 3...then added huggies overnights at night...although I do have to say Walmarts brand diapers (parents choice) has incredible overnight diapers for 10$ less per box...but not all stores carry them
  • I agree with Pampers, and Pampers wipes were the best . Huggies and Luvs weren't too good. Then again ,as mentioned earlier you'll  have to test them out every baby os different .
  • And for wipes ask for both kinds...my first could only use pampers and my second broke out with a horrible rash from them so he's only huggies!
  • We liked Pampers for newborn through size 1, then switched to Costco (their size starts at a 1-2, so it's a little bigger than a 1). I love Costco diapers--soft, don't leak (if you have the right size...), good price, esp. on coupon.

Target brand gave my daughter diaper rash, and she is not prone to that!

  • I like pampers swaddlers best because they are super soft. More cloth like than papery. Also they've never leaked. For wipes I like huggies natural because the seem more moist than Others.
  • Pampers all the way! Better material and the swaddlers were awesome for my first two, never any problems.
  • I preferred Huggies supreme and I tried about 4 different kinds with my first child but that was 7 years ago. Don't know if the quality has changed.
  • I am a Huggies lover. We tried pampers the first month with DS and he kept bursting out of them and would leak all the time. Huggies seemed like the only brand that absorbed quickly. It really depends on your child and what they need. My cousin swears pampers works on girls and Huggies works on boys. Just get a few sample packs in the mail. I went to their website and asked for some and I received a package with about 3 or 4 diapers in them for samples.
  • I like both Pampers & Huggies. Pamper Swaddlers for nb & size 1 for sure for us! I have always preferred Huggies One-And-Done wipes.

I tried a bunch for my son and in the end, we loved Costco's Kirkland brand, both the diapers and the wipes.
  • Only use pampers in our house!

  • We used Pampers at the beginning for my son, around 6 months or so he started leaking through them at night, a friend suggested Target Brand diapers and we never looked back. We haven't had one leak since and they are much cheaper than other brands. But keep in mind every baby is different and every diaper fits differently so what might work for us, may not work for you. Any that you do buy or receive I would keep in box until you know you will use them, that way you can bring them back if you have to.
  • Pampers swaddles in the beginning DH found the wet indicator helpful then we switched to up and up. So sad target is leaving Canada :((
  • Target name brand. They are cheaper than pampers but same quality. My son peed out of every kind except pampers but they are expensive so we tried target and they are just as good.
  • We also use pampers. They just fit our girls the best. I have friends that swear by buggies. For us it was a trial and error until we found what worked!
  • Pampers swaddlers in the beginning then target up&up are my absolute favorite!
  • For me, in the early days, I only like Pampers Swaddlers.  I tried Huggies, but for my babies when they were little I didn't like them.  Pampers is thinner than Huggies, not less absorbant, just thinner.  For a squirmy little tiny baby, I found the pampers to be able to go on easier and fit where they needed too.  The Huggies were so bulky I couldn't get them on just so and they leaked.  Now when the baby is older, eating purees and scooting around, I changed to Huggies because they seemed to fit and stay on them more snugly.  Just my 2 cents.  Everyone will have their own opinion.

I always used pampers swadlers at the beginning newborn stage because they are very soft on a newborn babies delicate skin. after a few months I switch to Walmart brand diapers. They are as good as Huggies or the other diapers but half the price, diapers can get pretty expensive . The target brand diapers are wonderful also, I am not a fan of luvs .Also I use sebistive or fragrance free wipes , pampers or the Walmart or target brand. Never the scented ones
  • I'm a first timer, but all my family and friends swear by Pampers swaddlers for newborn, then Pampers baby dry, and Target brand diapers as a back up. My best friend uses Costco brand wipes, I changed her baby yesterday and Oh My are those wipes sturdy! So that's what we'll be trying when baby comes.
