Lol it's a stretch isn't it? I didn't make it up though
You may not have made it up, but someone else did. Daxton is not a proper name.
Dax, on the other hand, is! No need for a longer version, since none exists. Dax is its own name. If you like it enough to use it then let it stand on its own. Pair it with a longer, more traditional name (e.g. Dax James, Dax Thomas, Dax Alexander, etc.)
No, I don't like it. It sounds awkward out loud on top of being made up. How about Jasper? That's got a similar ring and is rising in popularity. Or Dax, which is OK just NMS.
Do you like Dexter, nn Dex? Personally, I think of the show about the serial killer but thought I'd throw it out there in case it helps. Desmond, nn Des, is kind of similar, too.
Nope, not a fan at all. I like PPs suggestions of Dexter or Desmond though. Paxton is also a boy's name but not sure how I feel about that one other than that I like it better than Daxton.
I'm not a fan of Daxton...I'd just stick with Dax, especially if you're going to call him that anyway. I know a baby Dax that was just born recently and they didn't give him a longer name, just Dax
I actually have to laugh at everyone who says Daxton sounds made up...well all names are made up. I think its a great unique name...if you like it, go with it

Nope, that's not the way it works. Read the sticky at the top of the board, 'why spelling matters'

Nope, no, nah, no way, you're wrong, you couldn't be wronger.

Re: Daxton?
Dax is not my style, but it's much better than Daxton
