I know I'm being completely irrational, but I can't shake this crazy feeling that I'm having twins. I even cracked an egg with two yolks a few weeks ago! Anyone feeling equally crazy waiting for that first picture?
I live in Alberta Canada and here they recently changed things so I don't get my first ultrasound until 18-22 weeks! I think it is absolutely ridiculous I have to wait that long! What if something goes wrong? I have an optional one at 11-14 weeks that screens for Down syndrome as well as other ones but because I'm not at risk for those my doc says its up to me! I may do it just for my own sanity to know the little bean is healthy in there!!
I'm in the same boat, although I signed up for the first trimester screen already. My first ultrasound will be at 12 weeks and I'm going crazy with anticipation.
I think it's crazy! My daughter is 6 and I had 3 ultrasounds with her!! My husband is hoping for twins mostly so I don't have to go through pregnancy again (I'm high risk for preterm this time:( )
I feel irrational like I am having twins too. And the crazy part is this is my 4th pregnancy and I have never had this thought before. I do fit a few higher risk for twin groups this time though. Got pregnant while on the pill and breastfeeding, am 32, and it being the 4th pregnancy and all. There are a few twins in my family too. We will see in a week though. My OB always does a dating ultrasound the first visit. I have heard mother's intuition about twins can be a sign, but am probably just crazy. My hubby thinks it's a ridiculous thought.

I also cracked a double-yoked egg right before I found out I was expecting. Can't wait to hear your news and mine!
Don't panic girls.... I fit every classic risk for having twins.... over 35... 5th pregnancy... family history. .. oh and, I have a set of fraternal spontaneous twins... not to mention my hcg was doubling every 21 hours. Luckily.... just one bean! Well, it's a gummy bear right now... ; )
I don't know why, but since I was a little girls I always thought I would have twins. So because of that I kinda wonder. But the realistic side of me says that I probably have just one little one in there
There is family link to twins, but really no other reason I should feel this way, but I just can't shake it. It is kind of fun to think about though, which is a good thing since I won't find out for several more weeks. Good luck to everyone! Here's to healthy and happy babies!

The thought never even crossed my mind during my first pregnancy. I know they say every pregnancy is different but my breasts hurt way more, I have morning sickness this time around, my maternal grandmother had twins, and my husband thinks I've lost my mind It's just this crazy feeling I can't seem to shake. Let me know if you find out that you'll be seeing double.
Just found out today we have twins but the second baby has very slow heart rate so not sure if one will make it or not but other is measuring right in line with heartbeat of 132
This post makes me happy I've been thinking about twins non stop for the last two weeks and I keep joking with my fiance that we're having two.. I haven't cracked an egg with two yolks, but it's funny how similar we are all thinking.. I even call mine bean people tell me I'm crazy for wanting two at one time, but I think it would be awesome! We'll see what happens at the first ultrasound in a few weeks!
I was the same way. I had an overwhelming feeling of twins. Cracked a double yolked egg twice in a row even!! Husband was a twin but one died in utero. But just one in there! I've always wanted twins though so maybe it was just wishful thinking.
