Toothache ?

i just got a terrible toothache about two days ago and was wondering if this is related to pregnacy ? Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Toothache ?

  • My teeth are always extra sensitive when I'm pregnant. The baby is taking all your calcium to build strong bones.

  • It could be related, but it also may not be. Normally in pregnancy, most women get what's called pregnancy gingivitis. It mostly affects the gums but sometimes you can feel it in your teeth. It could also be a cavity/decay. Basically if you eat sweets, drink anything hot or cold, or take a breath of cold air and it bothers you from those things then it's most likely a cavity.
You can go to the dentist when pregnant to have it checked out. Dental X-rays are also safe as long as it's either a PA or bite wings (you can ask them) and make sure you wear a lead cover.
  • I had a broken tooth that had me in tears! They were able to pull it I just needed a note from the doctor saying what I could and couldn't take.
  • I have a toothache and have to wait until next week to see the dentist :((
