Trouble TTC

Going to start first clomid cycle

Hello! I've been reading a lot of posts before posting. My husband and I are both healthy.. Good sperm and I ovukate regularly every month I have decided to pay for costly opks. We recently decided to see an RE since we have been trying for over 2 years and he is starting me on clomid this cycle and iui. Has anyone else out there experienced regular ovulation and sperm tested normal and started clomid. Was it successful? I know my re says there is a risk I could produce too many eggs and we won't be able to move forward with iui. Thank you and hope everyone is still holding their heads high.

Re: Going to start first clomid cycle

  • I'll also be closely monitored and will also be using the trigger shot. I'll have to go in the next day for iui and again the next.

Hi! I am also described as "healthy" as well as my husband. I only have one tube and ovulate e/o month - I am on my first round of clomid (50mg) this month as well.

Hi! We're in the same boat. No known cause for not conceiving. All our tests have come back normal. I just finished my first cycle of 50mg clomid. Now we're using opks to see when we'll be ovulating & then getting the IUI the next day. Hope it works for us both!
  • My husband and I were diagnosed as having unexplained infertility this year. The RE said everything with me is normal and my husband is normal as well. They don't know why we haven't gotten pregnant yet so they suggested we do up to three rounds of IUI.

I finished the first cycle of clomid and IUI last week. My RE was pleased with the number of mature follicles I had. We didn't get pregnant this cycle, but the RE is hopeful. I start my second cycle of clomid Thursday. I'm hoping the second time is the charm because I'm starting to feel like a pin cushion and have a sneaking suspicion that the nurses are actually vampires.
