Hi All-
I was walking through Barnes and Noble and just wanted to grab a book that can help a complete rookie when it comes to babies and the beginning of life. I know those first few months are really important. I actually grabbed "Happiest Baby on the Block" and Jenny McCarthy's "Belly Laughs" just for fun but would love to hear from the pro's out there what you suggest. My good friend actually gave her baby rotten breast milk accidently because she didn't really know the rules of pumping and how long the milk is good for.... I don't want to make that kind of mistake!!
Thanks
Re: Best Books to Read for FTMs?
I wouldn't say you have to follow everything it says but it sure gives you insights on how to interpret your baby's cries so you can meet their needs and soothe them quickly, or know when to leave them alone because they are just trying to put themself to sleep. It gave me a lot of confidence as a FTM to know how to handle things and get into a good routine right away. The books has lots of tips and tricks, feeding charts and useful stuff. It also talks about different kinds of personilities babies can have and what to expect, how to handle them.
