@cndupree15 I'm the same way! I'm 1 week pp today. @maryxc1 My LO is one week today also and I cometely understand what you mean by always hitting a block in the road. I was induced for pre-e too and they're keeping me on meds. My LO has bad jaundice and we stayed 3 extra days for that and her levels are still unstable so she has a heel prick everyday. I've developed mastitis, which is a real pain, and my brother thought it would be a good idea to come over while he had the flu and hang out awhile while me and LO were asleep.
Deep breath mama it'll get better. It just seems like a lot right now. T&P to you and your family!
@HayleyBug55 I am also 1 week pp today. I didn't figure I could be the only one dealing with it. Have you found anything that helps? Sleeping on my back isn't an option. I just feel like a different person if I do. I had mastitis with my first and it may have been worse than labor I swear. I took a warm bath one night and let the milk just flow out. Massage as much as you can through the pain. Try to wait as close to when you would usually pump so you are full and the let down is easier. I stayed in there until it looked like I was bathing in milk. I didn't have any stitches though so check and make sure a bath is ok. Hope that helps at all
LO is going through a growth spurt (or maybe just finished one? He gained a entire pound in 8 days! Happy momma!) He has been fussy from 4pm onward lately unless being held. DH is passed out on the couch and I was hungry. I popped him in a ring sling and wa-la! PTFO! I feel like baby wearing might be our life saver.
@tropicbreeze, baby wearing is both a life and productivity saver around here. ...Though I may need to back off on the productivity. My house looks great, but my cramping is back and my bleeding is heavier again at 3 weeks postpartum.

@cndupree15 only thing that helps for me us a heating pad. And no baths for 6 weeks
Anyone else sick of hot flashes at night? I'm tired of waking up in a puddle.
I was just coming here to post about this! It's awful. I wake up to feed her in the middle of the night and I'm soaking wet. Then I get out from under the covers and I'm freezing. I read that it's just our body's way of getting rid of extra pregnancy water weight, but I'm ready for it to be over!
We had a really rough night Monday, LO cried for around 6 hours and didn't sleep till 5:30 am. He was fine today until I gave him the nystantin. He got very fussy and spit up more then normal. I am taking him back to the ped. In the morning to see what our next plan of action is for this damn thrush. I suspect the sugar in the nystantin is too much on his system and DH and I gave him that and mylacon (sp?) drops for gas last night before his crying episode. Tonight, after his original episode from the nystantin, he slept as we haven't given anything additional.
Sorry if none of that makes sense, I think I'm sleep pumping over here. Mastitis seems to be responding very well to the antibiotic so that's a plus.
@tropicbreeze I have few questions. LO has thrush and was given nystatin. Our pedi said to not let LO swallow it. Well wtf how do you tell a month old not to swallow it?! Anyway, I just follow directions on the bottle and put 1ML on each side of mouth. Is that what you did also? My LO throws up everytime I try to give it to him. Did your LO stop throwing it up??
That's crazy! Don't let them swallow it!?! Ours was suspended in a sugary mixture and I swabbed it on the inside of his mouth with the dropper but I know he swallowed some. We ended up stopping the nystatin and going to diflucan (sp?) because he was having horrible stomach problems from the sugar in the nystantin. We didn't have vomiting issues with the diflucan and it cleared him in a few days when we had been battling the thrush for 3 weeks. @usmcwife89 Edit to tag
Sending thoughts to all of you dealin with PP not fun things.
I'm 5 weeks PP and dealt with some oversupply issues with BF and serious hemerroids after delivery. Things are getting better now and I'm getting super anxious to start running and working out again. I may try to ease into it next week with some walk/running intervals. I'm not happy at all with my PP body, but I guess that comes with the territory. I am a little nervous about running with these milk boobies. I will definitely be picking up some new sports bras- the old ones don't even come close to fitting.
My LO will be one month on Wednesday. I have had a lot of ups and downs since having him. One big problem is I don't want to leave my house and when I do I get really overwhelmed and want to go home. Some days are better than others. My son is really good during the day but at night he wakes more frequently and is more hungry. I can't quite figure out how to break the schedule.

I find that interacting with my daughter while she is awake and in her activity gym, or keeping her awake by doing several tummy time sessions, or making lots of noise during the day (I.e. running the dishwasher, vacuuming, watching TV) helps keep her awake during the day and asleep longer at night.
Daddy goes back to work today (LO is 7 weeks). I'm grateful to have had him home for so long, especially since this is my 3rd week back and having him home with the girls made my return a lot smoother...now I just have to survive my first night as a solo mom of 2. Excited and nervous over here. 2 thumbs up for the ladies who have already mastered the art.
@one2andnow3 I felt that same way for almost the whole first month having DD home too. I didn't even want to go on walks by myself. But, I forced myself the first couple times and made plans with people so I didn't have an excuse and that helped a lot! It really does feel better getting out even if it's just to run to Target. Good luck and keep positive!
