hi I'm 40+3. Still waiting, no signs of labor coming anytime soon the only thing I'm hoping starts it all is my water breaking. Could any STM's or recent FTM's share their water breaking stories? How they felt right before it happened? What they were doing? Thanks everyone :-)
Re: Water Breaking Stories
I was sleeping and woke up to pee, emptied my bladder, and walked back to bed only to have something I couldn't control run down my legs. With both my babies, I thought maybe i peed myself...but it would be weird because I hadn't become incontinent at an point during either pregnancy. Lol. I swear, almost the same exact experience with my second! Except I had gone through it before and knew immediately, this is not pee! Lol. Hubby went to work to get his shifts covered while I went to L&D with a friend to confirm my suspicions. Once I got to L&D, I full on gushed on the floor. They took one look and said, "yeeaahhh...we're admitting you." Lol.
So, yep. No "oh my god! Liquids everywhere!" for me. Just suspision that I was not peeing as much as it seemed...
At 2 am i got up to use the bathroom. When i got to bed i couldnt get comfy and i was crampy. I felt wet in the vagina but i did have sex earlier so i thought nah, its semen. Began to doze off and bam a huge gush. Sat up, told husband and tried to find a sneaky way to my bathroom without a pool. Sat on the toilet for 45 minutes gushing left and right then went to the hospital.
Dd1: Broke as i was walking out of Shoneys (i was literally looking at hospital across street as it happened) I felt a small release and told my husband i had to go to the bathroom. As i squated over the toilet, it gushed out. Then i stood up, it gushed again. It kept coming out and I did not know what to do. My hubby had my phone. I finally stuffed my panties with toilet paper and walked out. It definitely was a movie worthy water break. I was 39w 3d.
Dd2: i was dreaming about being on rocks in the river with waterfalls. My water broke, gushed out, and woke me up from the dream. I knew immediately what had happened. I was 37w 5d. I had felt off the couple of days before so I wasnt surprised when it happened.
My husband's reaction both times was "are you serious?"
