my food aversions are HORRIBLE and there are tons of things I don't want, it seems like the only things I want are things on the do not eat list! Hot dogs, cold cuts, etc. Anyone else?
Stinky cheese which I normally don't even like. I just keep trying not to eat waffles and chocolate every day as I can't physically afford to, and have begun to find new versions of things I have an aversion to. For example any mushy veggie I can't stand now but raw and crunchy I'm all over. And cannot do runny eggs the thought makes me gag but scrambled is fine. Isn't this crazy???
With the cold cuts I've found if I heat them to kill any possible germs then let them cool it's close enough to just eating them cold it satisfies the craving.
Lets put it this way, the ONLY thing I don't want is peanut butter. It's a much shorter list. In fact I don't know if I'm eating waaaay too much or I'm starting to show. |)
I'm so ready for the nausea to be done! I can't think of ANYTHING that sounds good. If I do and I take a bit - not good! The food I normally love I can't stand now and vice versa
My OB doesn't even recommend against eating cold cuts/deli meat anymore. He said there has been 1 confirmed case of listeria from deli meat in 30 years. He's more concerned that I wash all produce because there are constantly listeria outbreaks from greens, melons...etc

Prepackaged deli meat is much more safe than at the deli counter! Also sushi from a reputable restaurant is fine as long as you're not eating it frequently. Hot dogs are fine too if they're hot. I say indulge! I've had everything listed above at least once this pregnancy and all is well
Yup same boat cold cut sandwich and a hot dog sounds amazing! Of course because I don't even eat them when I'm not pregnant. Funny how that works but I can't wait to have a nice hot dog or a jimmy johns sandwich at the end of this! Lol
Eel is always pre-cooked before they add it into sushi so that is a safe one! Just don't eat it crazy often but that definitely helped me when I had been craving it for 4 weeks!
Lox!! Lox and cream cheese on a bagel is my all time favorite food. Can't believe I can't have it until OCTOBER!!
I'm not a huge hot dog eater really, but have been craving hot dogs for weeks. Last weekend I broke down and had a couple. At least they are ok in moderation, as long as they are cooked well.
haha yes i saw a subway commercial this morning for an italian turkey sub and it looked soooo good. the sad thing is there is a really high-quality deli in my neighborhood with much better food than subway but still i was thinking about subway all day. my hubs is convinced it's probably fine to eat deli meats and i should just heat them up, and he's probably right, but i am being extra cautious. maybe i will break down eventually though. it's funny because i lived in france for a while and i almost never ate deli meat there-- if i got a sub sandwich it was usually tuna or chicken salad because they have a lot of ham sandwiches there and i don't really like ham. but now i am already sick of chicken salad. i just want deli turkey lol.
Ham sandwich! GIMMIE! I dont think its too unsafe, but will wait til second trimester to chnace it, but funny since before I had even found out I was pregnant all I felt like, and was eating was ham sandwiches
I am usually very healthy, but I have been eating terribly. I am also spending too much money because I keep having to eat out because I never like anything we have at home! I also had soda the last two days, and that is very unlike me. Really trying to drink lots of water again like I used to. My most recent craving has been Atlanta Bread Company (similar to Panera Bread -- but better).
I am dying for a nice margarita!!! I am not a huge drinker but with being pregnant in the summer I am bummed I will miss out on some cold adult beverages.
I'm craving fish in any form shape or way but specially pickled in a ceviche... Omg lord help me idk am so scared because of the mercury I can't really eat chicken it disgusting to me arggg and beef I can have but in tiny bites... I go for pastrami sandwiches Bens best its got pastrami red peppers salami toped off with the best Cole slaw ever ooo and turkey and corn beef!!!!!!! With pickles omgggg arrrgggg!!!!
I've been craving beer. I'm not normally a huge drinker; I'll have one from time to time but I really prefer sugary cocktails to anything else. But lately I could really go for a Blue Moon!
Also, I had a couple days that I HAD to have Brach's jelly beans. The black ones, especially, but I managed to put away two bags in two days, minus the few I shared with DS. At least I also walked 5 miles in those two days!
