girls nights/outings ideas

So before this baby comes I really want to try to squeeze in seeing my  girlfriends as much as possible because I know it will be different and harder to do so post baby. Does anyone have any good ideas for outings? So far I keep coming up with bowling for night, dog walking by day.

Re: girls nights/outings ideas

  • I guess a lot of it depends on what is available in your area.  We have a monthly girls' night with my circle of peeps, and we rotate hosting each other at our houses with various themes (nothing crazy but a wine night versus brunch versus movie and comfy pants) with going out somewhere.  When we go out, it's either to a meal or some kind of local event.  And we try to include things that are kiddo-friendly (i.e. meet up at a park with great playground to drink coffee and chat)  every once in a while for those who can't always get time away.

  • In my area we have some wine and painting classes that are fun. Our favorite thing to do is go somewhere where we can have a long dinner like fondue!
  • We have painting with a twist which is a wine and painting class that is tons of fun. We bring wine, cheese/crackers and fruit and make something cute for our homes. Ours is lead by an artist so you don't really need any actually skill (lucky for me) and isn't too pricey, about $35 each.
  • painting, mani/pedi, out for meals, walking at the park, coffee shop, shopping, movie night... There are tons of things you can do!
