How many of you are feeling the buzz of the second trimester?
I don't know if it was because it was 70 degrees by me today but I'm super pleased to announce that today I actually didn't feel so bad. I didn't feel like the bag of $hit I have been feeling like since January and instead of craving brown sugar Pop Tarts for breakfast, a blueberry almond milk smoothie took its place. Lunch wasn't a carnal "Walking Dead" woof down of the "Best of Maxi" meal at chez McDonalds but rather hummus and whole wheat (whole wheat!) crackers and a small salad. AND I exercised. What. Is. Going. On?! Up until yesterday these choices no longer seemed possible and I was doomed for a complete 9 months of eating crap and a "Best of Maxi" ass.
I consider today a huge victory in what felt like a 3 month hangover and I feel amazing. Any of you ladies having any recent victories (new found energy, making better eating choices, glowing, feeling that pregnancy high that apparently exists?) as we slither out of the first trimester? Let's share!

Today I started my spring cleaning. First making a mess by looking in to closets and throwing away stuff. (anyone want a snowboard lol?)
I am finally going to check up on my clients via email.
Sign up to a few dog rescue groups. The days are nicer and nicer and I miss my little one and going out with him.
And finally enjoy st Patrick's day with hubby and friends. (Irish food for me...duh)
It is so great to read all of this. I just started week 13 today and I have been starting to feel a little better, minus these horrible headaches. I can't wait to get to the second trimester and start cleaning. I just want to clean everything and get rid of all the extra crap that we don't need!!!! But I come home every evening with zero energy and I crash on the couch, the family is lucky if they get a real dinner. Lots of pizza and grilled cheese for them. These posts are giving me hope
Oh and I finally got my Christmas tree undecreated an moved out of the house. I was extremely sick and had no energy since the first of the year.
Plus we are getting ready to remodel our kitchen and garage so I need to start packing all that stuff up. The only thing I haven't done yet is wash windows. I will let my 9 year old do it one evenings so I have busted tail on the rest of the house.
I noticed some of you mentioned meal planning. I too found that impossible to do and what made this so all difficult. Not knowing what you're going to want to eat in advance was so frustrating because it changed seemingly every 15minutes, where I would have to buy and eat the food quick before I changed my mind. We've been eating out more because of it, which of course is more costly than planning and cooking. Happy to see this phase out...
This week (week 15), I've been feeling so good that my house looks like it hasn't looked since December... so neat and tidy. I still have to catch my breath and feel the need to get off my feet often, but I'm feeling SO much better than the achy, icky, sickie, sleepy, cranky way I felt all first trimester.
On an added note, we were told the gender of our baby at yesterday's appointment (I want expecting to find out for at least another month). Anyone else get the news yet?
Ohh.... And my sex drive is back
Feeling like actually doing a bit now. My MS has (touch wood) subsided somewhat.
Still getting these constant UTI's, but I'm feeling good.
The only thing I can't wait to slow down, is my toilet trips at night..... Couldn't tell you how many times I go. It's ridiculous.
But im feeling goooood :-)
