Acupuncture to Induce??

Hello all!
Today I'm 37wks 2 days and have controlled chronich hypertension so I'm not able to go to my due date. My OB is hoping I can go on my own within the week, if not we are inducing next Wednesday. My birthing instructor talked to me about havering acupuncture to induce labor, going to have first session tomorrow! Has anyone tried this or considering?

    I'll be doing it! I love my acupuncturist and really hope that it's as effective for me as she says it can be.

    I tried it last pregnancy for weeks and it did nothing. I think that if your body isn't ready, nothing will help.

    I had my first session yesterday. It was very relaxing! I was expecting to immediately feel contractions (unrealistic I know) and nothing did. However, it could totally b coincidence but last night I lost my mucus plug so that's something!! I'll take it! Going back for another session Friday.

    I did acupuncture in my last pregnancy, I was 40w4d the day I had it done, the next day I started having contractions, and the day after that I had my daughter! It happened so quick after the acupuncture, I'm definitely going to do it again this time.
