ultrasound at 5w6d?

Did anyone have an ultrasound around 5w6d? What did you see. I want so badly to see a heartbeat. But I also want to go in with realistic expectations so I don't worry needlessly. Our first ultrasound at 4w2d showed an irregular shaped gestational sac with 2 white dots in it. But my hcg was really high and more than doubling every 48 hours. We have had 2 miscarriages in the past year. I have alot of anxiety about this pregnancy and Tuesday cannot come soon enough.

    Mine at 5 weeks still showed the gestational sac, but hopefully closer to 6 weeks you'll be able to see the bean. A heartbeat can take until closer to 7 weeks so try to stay calm, each baby grows at their own pace. I've also had two m/c's so I completely understand your anxiety - I was a mess last week before and after my sono, my next one isn't until the 25th!!!

    I have never heard of US so early. I have read you can't here heartbeat till about 7/8 weeks along. But I don't know if you are considered high-risk maybe they just want to make sure everything is great. Good luck.

    I had a scan last week due to severe cramping, I was 5w5d. Could see sac and nothing inside.. She asked if I wanted to try an internal scan which I did, and after a while we saw a teeny heartbeat! I had to told my breath while she documented it though, as it was so small and faint. All the best! :)

    I was only able to see the yolk sac at 5w6d I go back next Monday at 7w6d to hopefully see heartbeat

    Thanks ladies! @brownshuga1432 yes I guess I am high risk because of 2 miscarriages since last summer and also I was having cramping and spotting. I also thought it was pretty early. But Im not going to turn down a chance to see baby.

    You can see heart beat on transvaginal ultrasound as early as 5.5-6 weeks, depending on the ultrasound. Can't hear it with a Doppler until at least 10 and usually 12 weeks (potentially a little later if you've got some extra padding). But if you ovulate late you may not see it at even 6 weeks - a few days makes a big difference that early! I only saw gestational and yolk sacs at 6.5 weeks, and they weren't too concerned. I'm past 7 weeks now, with pregnancy symptoms, and have another ultrasound next week.

    Set your expectations for just the sac right now. That way if there is more you will be happy. I had one at 5 weeks 1 day and it was just the sac:)

    We had an ultrasound at 5 weeks, 6 days and saw the heartbeat ( didn't hear it because too early )

    We go in about an hour! So nervous. Can't do anything productive this morning. I cant think about anything else. Wish me luck!

    Was wondering the same thing! I have my first appointment scheduled for 6w3d which seems early to me. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

    I had one at 5wks I'm high risk due to blood clots we only saw a sac I have an appt on 3/25-7wks 3days hopefully we'll hear a heartbeat then.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I have been thinking about you all afternoon, hoping and praying that you were getting good news! I think that early the heart just started beating. I wouldn't worry at all. YAY!!!

    Congratulations I know the feeling I've had my scan and saw heart beat, past pregnancies miscarriage & ectopic, such an amazing feeling to see you heart beat, all starts to feel real :)
