Physically not bad - just generally sore and achy. Mentally, it's been tough accepting my changing body and the upcoming changes to my life. I am just trying to take it one day at a time. Thank goodness for DH - he is so patient with me!
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Had my 28 week appointment last week. Everything looks good. Got both my Rhogam and TDap shots, so I've had matching purple bruises on both arms for a week now. Fun times!

5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Monday I take my 3 hour GTT as I failed my 1 hour this week. My appointment schedule went from every month to every 2-3 weeks, too
Rant - some dudes tonight had a $60 bar and food tab and spent an additional $30 bowling and left not a single cent in tips. AND gave us crap when we sent them packing at 145am. Assholes.
Rave - I have 12 boxes of girl scout cookies!
Rant - which I won't be able to eat if it turns out I have GD
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
Ooh, good question. Hmm... My mom taught me social graces like not eating until everyone was sat at the table, etc and while I am not looking forward to it per se, I do plan to teach to them to my kid. One thing I learned from observing my parents (but they didn't actively teach me) is that we are responsible for our situations. We make choices that bring us to where we are. Every day - we decide to remain in that situation, or change it.
37 weeks, due 4/5/15, normal newborn baby size
2. Age at delivery?
35
3. Any other children or fur babies?
21-month-old DS, who has no idea what is about to happen to his world, plus 2 black labs who are getting more clingy and more annoying by the day. One is sleeping in bed with us now.
Large, lots of BH, done...
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
37 week visit tomorrow, first internal exam. I just hope it triggers labor so these BH will stop

Dr. this Tuesday.
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO? My mother has always been a really hard worker, in what ever she did. So I would say she passed that on to her children. I am also trying to teach my children to not be lazy...lol! Also to be grateful for what we have!
2. 38
3. A toddler and a dog
4. I'm feeling over it. Irritable uterus so constant BH. If only I could hit fast forward.
5. Next appointment in a week.
Rant: I have chub rub between my thighs now. They're raw. Dresses feel good for my bump but I sacrifice my thighs. Pants protect my thighs but are uncomfortable on my belly.
Rave: I have rediscovered jelly beans. So good.
QOTW: I hope to pass on the message that no matter what they choose in life, whether I agree or not, I'll always love and support them.

QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
29 weeks, June 1
2. Age at delivery?
3. Any other children or fur babies?
4. How are you feeling?
Good. Super emotional, but I've realized that it helps significantly to get sufficient sleep... which has been a challenge the past couple weeks with travel and houseguests, but that will soon be over.
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Had my (1hr) GD test Friday and conveniently left my phone at home so I missed the calls from the office. So now I'm praying that I'm low on iron, which they also tested, and not having to take the 3 hour.
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
23 weeks
2. Age at delivery?
43
3. Any other children or fur babies?
Three kitties
4. How are you feeling?
Good, but tired. Am on spring break this week, so I am trying to get spring cleaning done.
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Had an appointment today. Everything sounds good. Met one of the docs in the practice. (Been seeing the NPs til now.) Really liked her. There are five docs in the office so whoever is on the day I deliver will be my doc. Strangely, I am okay with that. Took the glucose test today. Should know in a few days if I passed.
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
Feeling quite well, all things considered. A bit on the large side, tired and constipated but so much better than in the first tri.
One important lesson I've learned was not to internalize other people's issues; if someone is behaving a certain way, understand that it doesn't have much to do with you. Don't overreact, don't take it personally. Realizing this has helped keep things in perspective and given me a sense of confidence in crisis. I think it's an important lesson for kids.
I haven't been here lately but a quick check in. Had a level 2 ultrasound and baby was moving everywhere! All organs are normal. Yay!
Stats:
22wks now, all tests came back negative, Thank God! Still team green! And no, haven't even started on the nursery! LOL!
Next appointment is first week of April. Another level 2 ultrasound.
Oh and I had to cut my meal size to half due to heartburn. Ugh. And no spicy food!
I miss it so much!
2. Age at delivery? 41, although it's looking more like 40
3. Any other children or fur babies? DS 2 and a half, two dogs and one cat
4. How are you feeling? I hurt. It hurts to walk and has been hurting for weeks and to top it all off, I have a head cold. Yay! NOT!
5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves? Yes, then end is in sight. My BP has been riding on the high side. I have GD and the baby is on the big side, even though I have done fairly well on my sugars. Because of all of this, at my 35 week appointment, my doctor indicated that if I made it to 37 weeks, we could talk induction that week. People...that is next Tuesday! Yes, please!!! I have a BPP scheduled for that morning, so they will need to check his breathing and other functions, but so far everything has been fine. As long as he is fine, I am jumping on the bandwagon that I never thought I would jump on and that's "Let's get this done!"
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO? Have fun! Take vacations. While I don't propose overspending, you can't take it with you when you die, so give your children vacations they will remember for a lifetime. If it takes you a year to pay it off, don't sweat it and do it again next year. (Granted...pay it off...or even better, budget ahead of time...)
