  • How far along are you? What is your EDD? What size is baby?
25 weeks. June 24. I think i read somewhere cauliflower sized. I find all those comparisions odd.  They don't ever seem to make sense.  Like cauliflowers come in many sizes.  knowing me mine is a massive, gigantic type cauliflower
    2. Age at delivery?
    42
    3. Any other children or fur babies?
    yep 7 children 3 girls 4 boys
    4. How are you feeling?
Pregnancy wise...great. But I do have the world's most annoying cough that simply won't go away.  Its been almost 2 weeks.  I am so tired hurting my round ligaments in coughing fits.

    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Rave: got new mattresses.  AWESOMENESS.  i can sleep all night on one side and never have my hip hurt even in the slightest.  Used to be after 30 min max I was in tears it was so painful

    QOTW:
What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone
else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
    hmmm...not sure on this....perhaps I will think a while

29 weeks tomorrow (Sunday) Due 5/31/15
    2. Age at delivery?
    37
    3. Any other children or fur babies?
    One cat.
    4. How are you feeling?
Physically not bad - just generally sore and achy.  Mentally, it's been tough accepting my changing body and the upcoming changes to my life.  I am just trying to take it one day at a time.  Thank goodness for DH - he is so patient with me!
    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Had my 28 week appointment last week.  Everything looks good.  Got both my Rhogam and TDap shots, so I've had matching purple bruises on both arms for a week now.  Fun times!
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
Not a specific "thing," but my parents allowed my siblings and me to make mistakes and learn from them.  They didn't hover like I feel so many of today's parent do.  As a result, we all grew up to be very independent, stable individuals.  I hope that I can pass that on to my LO.

Being humble & learning how to be grateful for the things that we have in life.
  • 1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? What size is baby?
26 weeks. Lettuce. Due June 18

    2. Age at delivery?
    37

    3. Any other children or fur babies?
2 cats, Samurai Jack and Silt (Big Man)

    4. How are you feeling?
Not AS tired the past two days. My feet hurt cause I just finished 2 back to days of 9 hour shifts bartending, but I've got the next few days off to recover them

    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Monday I take my 3 hour GTT as I failed my 1 hour this week. My appointment schedule went from every month to every 2-3 weeks, too
Rant - some dudes tonight had a $60 bar and food tab and spent an additional $30 bowling and left not a single cent in tips. AND gave us crap when we sent them packing at 145am. Assholes.
Rave - I have 12 boxes of girl scout cookies!
Rant - which I won't be able to eat if it turns out I have GD

QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
Ooh, good question. Hmm... My mom taught me social graces like not eating until everyone was sat at the table, etc and while I am not looking forward to it per se, I do plan to teach to them to my kid. One thing I learned from observing my parents (but they didn't actively teach me) is that we are responsible for our situations. We make choices that bring us to where we are. Every day - we decide to remain in that situation, or change it.

21-month-old DS, who has no idea what is about to happen to his world, plus 2 black labs who are getting more clingy and more annoying by the day. One is sleeping in bed with us now.

    4. How are you feeling?
    Large, lots of BH, done...

    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
37 week visit tomorrow, first internal exam. I just hope it triggers labor so these BH will stop

QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
My mom was always good about singing lots of songs, reading books, doing nursery rhymes, etc. I'm starting to do that with DS now and he loves it.

So I would say she passed that on to her children. I am also trying to teach my children to not be lazy...lol! Also to be grateful for what we have!

EDC 06/03/2015. Almost 29 weeks.  Yay 3rd trimester!!

    37.

2 kids. 2 yr old DD and 6 yr old DS. One dog.

I'm feeling huge. lol I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with balancing housework, full time work, and kids with decreased energy. I'm feeling irritated that DH keeps asking for sex. He texted me this morning and said what do I have to do to get some. lol I texted back and I said get a wife who's not almost 30 weeks pregnant, with a full time job, and 2 kids at home!

My next visit is Wednesday. Just an injection. Not sure if I'll get my glucose test results or not.. hoping to not have to do the 3 hour.

I've learned a lot from both of my parents.  I think the one thing that I'd like to pass down to my little girl specifically is what my mom has taught me.. to be a strong woman. To stand up for yourself. To know that you are smart, you are worthy, and you are capable. My parents divorced when I was about 11 and my brother was about 8. My mom struggled a lot to make ends meet but she never gave up, she never settled, and she always picked herself back up.  While going through the divorce of my parents wasn't necessarily fun.. it did teach me that I am capable of doing whatever I want to do and that I don't have to be dependent on anyone.

supersarah77  I'm right there with you .. chub rub and all. That made my day by the way. lol  I'm wearing a skirt today because it's almost 70 but I feel like a whale.

15yo DD, 13 yo DD, 11 yo DS and a 4 month old yokie

    4. How are you feeling?

SO EXHAUSTED.  I feel worthless. I have zero energy.  My back aches. I am irritable.  I am retaining water.

    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?

OB on Tuesday and Cardiologist on Thursday

Rant: Blood Sugars are all over the place.  When I eat something and I think they will be high they are normal. When I eat something I think is healthy and my sugars should be beautiful they are high.  UGH

QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?

Each kid is different. Raise them to their personality but with the same end result.

  • 1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? What size is baby?
    29 weeks, June 1

    2. Age at delivery?
    Almost 38

    3. Any other children or fur babies?
    Nope

    4. How are you feeling?
Good. Super emotional, but I've realized that it helps significantly to get sufficient sleep... which has been a challenge the past couple weeks with travel and houseguests, but that will soon be over.
The back and hip aches have subsided... figure it must have been growing pains because as soon as I hit the 3rd tri, I suddenly look as if I could deliver tomorrow.

    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Had my (1hr) GD test Friday and conveniently left my phone at home so I missed the calls from the office. So now I'm praying that I'm low on iron, which they also tested, and not having to take the 3 hour.
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
Hmmm... I'm glad my parents taught me to be considerate of others - in the little things like, not leaving my shopping cart in the parking lot.

    23 weeks
    2. Age at delivery?
    43
    3. Any other children or fur babies?
    Three kitties
    4. How are you feeling?
Good, but tired.  Am on spring break this week, so I am trying to get spring cleaning done.
    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?
Had an appointment today.  Everything sounds good.  Met one of the docs in the practice.  (Been seeing the NPs til now.)  Really liked her.  There are five docs in the office so whoever is on the day I deliver will be my doc.  Strangely, I am okay with that.  Took the glucose test today.  Should know in a few days if I passed.
QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?
My mom always made the holidays special.  I hope to do that as well.  She also taught me life is not fair, which was a hard lesson to learn, lol.

31w3d, May 15, baby is the size of four navel oranges.

I'm 36, and don't have other kids. (Do plants count?)

Feeling quite well, all things considered. A bit on the large side, tired and constipated but so much better than in the first tri.

My next appointment is this Thursday. I plan to ask what will happen (medically) between now and labor (shots, exams, etc.) and also if they could walk me through the hospital L&D process and any decisions I'll be asked to make.

One important lesson I've learned was not to internalize other people's issues; if someone is behaving a certain way, understand that it doesn't have much to do with you. Don't overreact, don't take it personally. Realizing this has helped keep things in perspective and given me a sense of confidence in crisis. I think it's an important lesson for kids.
  • I haven't been here lately but a quick check in. Had a level 2 ultrasound and baby was moving everywhere! All organs are normal. Yay!

     Stats:

22wks now, all tests came back negative, Thank God! Still team green! And no, haven't even started on the nursery! LOL!

Next appointment is first week of April. Another level 2 ultrasound.

Oh and I had to cut my meal size to half due to heartburn. Ugh. And no spicy food! :( I miss it so much!

  • 1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? What size is baby?  36 weeks + 3 days.  April 14th.  Spring Melon

    2. Age at delivery? 41, although it's looking more like 40

    3. Any other children or fur babies? DS 2 and a half, two dogs and one cat

    4. How are you feeling? I hurt.  It hurts to walk and has been hurting for weeks and to top it all off, I have a head cold.  Yay!  NOT!

    5. Upcoming appointments or milestones? Rants or raves?  Yes, then end is in sight.  My BP has been riding on the high side.  I have GD and the baby is on the big side, even though I have done fairly well on my sugars.  Because of all of this, at my 35 week appointment, my doctor indicated that if I made it to 37 weeks, we could talk induction that week.  People...that is next Tuesday!  Yes, please!!!  I have a BPP scheduled for that morning, so they will need to check his breathing and other functions, but so far everything has been fine.  As long as he is fine, I am jumping on the bandwagon that I never thought I would jump on and that's "Let's get this done!"

QOTW: What is one big thing that you learned from your parents (or someone else close to you) that you look forward to passing on to your LO?   Have fun!  Take vacations.  While I don't propose overspending, you can't take it with you when you die, so give your children vacations they will remember for a lifetime.  If it takes you a year to pay it off, don't sweat it and do it again next year.  (Granted...pay it off...or even better, budget ahead of time...)
