Night sweats

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone is having a problem with night sweats? I am having a terrible time. I make sure the room is nice and comfortable when I go to sleep and I wake up a couple hours later absolutely drenched in sweat. So much that now I keep a towel by the bed and something to change into cause literally my whole body is soaked. It even dampens the bed. Is this normal? Did not happen with my first pregnancy. TIA!

Re: Night sweats

  • Yep. Happened with my first and just started again with this. My poor husband sleeps in jogging pants, sweatshirt and socks. Lol

  • I had this before I got pregnant while I was on the hormone drugs and stuff. Check your sheets and make sure they're 100% cotton. Sateen, nylon, rayon and anything else doesn't let air circulate. It honestly fixed my problem immediately!
  • Thank you! I will check my sheets! I'll try anything not to wake up soaked every night lol

I've had the same problem, though not as much with this pregnancy. Thanks for the tip with the sheets!

Yep. The night sweats just started. Last night I woke up soaked. I don't remember this happening with my first until after he was born.

  • Just started when I reached the third trimester. Our bedroom has been cold this whole winter, not above 65. I find myself stripping in my sleep.
  • I'm the same way . I have to take a shower.. And wash bed sheets BC my whole body is soaked. No matter how cold I keep the house I wake up just soaked :/
  • I have a window right above my head that we have cracked about 2 inches. I'm in Wisconsin, so it still gets down to 30 or so at night. The little bit of cold air blowing on my face helps. DH may complain about it, but I don't care ;)

  • My hubs & kids complain about how cold our house is, but I just don't care right now. I'm always burning up. I just tell them to add layers of clothing. ;)
  • My air is cranked up right now! I cannot cool down!!!
