Playground rules...

JLK got decked by a bigger boy who wanted to get where she was at the playground. The mom was all over and grabbed him...had him say sorry...said sorry to me etc...JLK was fine didnt care at all.

But I have noticed more and more of these type situations where the parents dont get invloved.

SO what do you do?

Try and find the parent...say something to the kid or simply remove your child??

Just looking to see what the "norm" is??

Re: Playground rules...

  • I usually say something to the kid, nicely, but stern and loud enough for the parent to hear it if she is nearby.
  • Loading the player...
  • I tell the kid to behave. It usually works. If it doesn't, i take Faith elsewhere to play.

    that is what I do.

  • I don't have a problem saying something to the kid- especially when the parent isn't paying attention. If the kid doesn't stop and I can't find the parent to give him/her the stink eye, I remove Ty and take him elsewhere all the while hoping he got a good jab or kick in that I missed. J/K...sorta.
