Re: any one over here have 2vc or sua?

  • I just found out on Friday. They did not tell me much, I dont see my dcotor till mar 22. All i know is they are doing another ultrasound in four weeks to monitor. Some people have replied to a post I made in the second trimester board if you want to check them out, they were reassuring. I read that there could be growth restriction and some complications, but not to worry it is not the majority. Most babies are fine, but I understand feeling scared and worried. It has been on my mnd all weekend. I may call the doctor before my appt. and if I learn anything I will post for you. Stay strong. It is nice to know we are not alone.

  • I had a SUA with my first child.  They did several ultrasounds to measure and make sure her growth was on track. She always measured a little smaller than 50%.  They will monitor the blood flow in the umbilical cord at the u/s.  I had some other complications so I saw a perinatologist who also checked for any other abnormalities.

What I read online before my dr appt scared me to pieces because SUA occured often when there were other stomach or developmental issues.  Thankfully everything else was okay but you may ask to see a peri just in case.

My daughter was born at full term and 7.5 pounds and is healthy and thriving.

Best of luck and try not too worry.  My docs said it is just something that happens most of the time without any real reason.

  • I was diagnosed with SUA as well. My 28 wk appointment was today and going forward I was told that I need to go every week for a NST and fluid check. I also go monthly for an anatomy scan. When I first found out they had me go to a specialist to have an ecocardiogram done to check the babies heart. Everything is going well so far and I'm thankful for that. You are definately not alone.

    Best of luck,

    Pam
