Re: any one over here have 2vc or sua?
I had a SUA with my first child. They did several ultrasounds to measure and make sure her growth was on track. She always measured a little smaller than 50%. They will monitor the blood flow in the umbilical cord at the u/s. I had some other complications so I saw a perinatologist who also checked for any other abnormalities.
What I read online before my dr appt scared me to pieces because SUA occured often when there were other stomach or developmental issues. Thankfully everything else was okay but you may ask to see a peri just in case.
My daughter was born at full term and 7.5 pounds and is healthy and thriving.
Best of luck and try not too worry. My docs said it is just something that happens most of the time without any real reason.
I was diagnosed with SUA as well. My 28 wk appointment was today and going forward I was told that I need to go every week for a NST and fluid check. I also go monthly for an anatomy scan. When I first found out they had me go to a specialist to have an ecocardiogram done to check the babies heart. Everything is going well so far and I'm thankful for that. You are definately not alone.
Best of luck,
Pam
