Im due in June with my first baby. Trying to decided which bottles would be the best for my hopefully breastfed baby. I registered for Avent but looking for opinions. Any advice would help. Thanks
don't go too crazy with one brand only. sometimes babies can and will be fussy and you may have to go through multiple trials of bottles before finding one that your LO will like.
I've heard the same advice. Friends love dr brown but I've heard lots of parts to wash. I'm only putting a small variety pack of medala ones on my registry. However, babies r us seems to carry a sampler pack of a few different brands, which also could be a good start!
I wouldn't stock up on any certain brand because some babies can be really picky about bottles. Both of my girls were breastfed and preferred different bottles. DD1 used Medela bottles for the first few months and then switched to Playtex air vent. DD2 would only use the cheapo dollar bottles. I tried at least six different brands with her and she would only take boob or cheap bottles. I have friends that swear by Avent and Dr Browns but every kiddo is different. Good luck
Dr. Browns are great, but we're trying the kiinde system this time. But I echo others, definitely don't stock up on a whole set until you know what your baby likes. Register for one of a few different kinds and see what you like. Good luck!
I successful breastfeed all my babies. Had great luck with the super cheap evenflo bottles. They come in either glass or plastic and screw right on to amedea and Medela breast pumps.

My kids were bottle fed...but here's my opinion.
Last time I used Avent which was a little annoying BC the mouth is wider and wouldn't screw on to the breast pump. I also found that they leaked at times. I also enjoyed the cheapo Gerber brand.
One thing also, don't buy a ton of 4 oz sizes. It seemed like mine grew out of them too fast.
I registered for comotomo bottles and life factory since my DH wanted to try the glass. My friend gave me her tommee tippee bottles and I got the free agent bottles in the motherhood gift bag to try so hopefully with the four one wil work and then I will get more from there based on which bottle LO likes the best. I personally love the comotomo ones but I'm not going to be using them
I have a few playtex, a few dr.browns and a few tommee tippee. Cause PPs are right, you could buy all of one brand and your baby could not like them, then you're stuck with too many of a brand you can't use. I know some brands like playtex have some with drop ins built in to make things a little easier, but try to get a bit of variety.
I am registered for the Kiinde system as well. My sister has some tommee tippee bottles that her son didnt like that she will give me. But i may register for a few other brands.
My cousin is a lactation consultant & I asked her for advice. She suggested the Avent bottles with the natural nipples. She also suggested the Tommee Tippee. She said they are very good siniliarities to the baby feeding off you or off the bottle. Less chance of a "preference development" for the baby based on differences between the nipple & your Breast.
