doc prescribed me both. Zofran I'm sure most know is most commonly prescribed, Diclegis is less common I think, but the only category A (safest for preg) med for nausea.
I have friends who have safely and successfully taken zofran during pregnancy with no issues with baby. but my lovely coworkers (*sarcasm*) started freaking me out sending me tons of articles about zofran lawsuits, birth defects etc (they're the worst. I'm constantly telling them to stop this). So I've decided not to take it.
The purpose of this post however is to gush about how WONDERFUL Diclegis is!! Doc told me it's unisom + vitamin B6, and that if the pharmacy can't fill it that you can take that combo and it will essentially be the same. I'm sure it's more cost effective as well bc my prescription was $30 for 1 month w/insurance :-\ anyways, not only did it help me sleep (I have been having terrible restless sleep/insomnia) but woke up for the first time with absolutely no nausea! Previously I had been vomiting every single morning, and if I waited too long to eat breakfast it would get soooo bad. Today I didn't eat until noon and I didn't have one bit of nausea from my empty stomach! Hurray! Hopefully this will also help my eating habits bc I have been eating way more than usual due to empty stomach causing horrible nausea.
For the first time this pregnancy (10 weeks) I actually feel AMAZING! Hope this post helps someone else
