My doctor said it isn't a big deal although if I'm willing to wait I should. I probably will wait until after the first trimester but after that I'm coloring. I'm 29 and should not have as much grey as I do!
The risk is pretty minimal, but it is there. I'd say hold off as long as you can, but if you must color it, wait until the end of your first trimester. I cant imagine if my hair wasn't its natural color right now. Its growing SO fast so I know it must be painful to wait if you have roots showing.
I seriously have been getting grey hair since I was 22 years old. Now I'm in my late 30s it's coming on full force!! It's sad..lol.. my doc said to wait until the 2nd trimester. I'm 11 weeks now. I made an appointment to get my hair did at 14 weeks and I cannot wait. I've been putting wet eyeshadow on the hair roots to mask the worse of it!
I have my roots showing really badly, and I hate it.. But I'll wait until the 2nd trimester to get it touched up. I just dont want to risk it, I'm very paranoid about these kind of things.
Before I found out I was pregnant I got my hair done about 3 months before and it's a ombred but it's not Bert natural and it's high maintenance so all I want to do is color it all one color once every couple months I just really can't stand it anymore it looks terrible not done I went to beauty school and I know your body doesn't soak up as nearly enough chemicals for it to be harmful I just want to know that other people have done it if I do I'll get it done and a salon so I stay away from.the fumes
I got my hair highlighted around 6 weeks. To me, it seemed perfectly safe as I did it in a salon and my hair was foiled. Do you think you could highlight it or do you need to do all over color?
I am 7w2d just did an all over color on my hair last weekend. And plan to again in 4-6 weeks. Do tell your stylist when you go in that you are PG as sometimes the color can take differently. There's no real studies that show danger when coloring your hair so just do what feel comfortable with. Listen to your body, if the smell starts to bother you then stop for a while.
