I'm an active member over on 2IF and hope it's ok for me to post my question here. It's been a long journey to get to my FET and it's 2 weeks away (if all goes well). I wanted to hear if any of you tried any of the "old wives tales" of eating pineapple core, wearing socks to bed each night after transfer...I'm willing to try anything that might bring success
IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!! Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized. Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
Any chance I got, I tried to lie still and take deep breaths yoga-like breaths. Some of that was just managing nerves. I also parked myself on the couch as much as possible with my feet up and watched something that would keep me happy and distracted (Scrubs and Friends on netflix )
Hee, hee... I thought you meant during bed rest. I hear bedrest might not even be recommended anymore but I loved bed rest! I did coupons, and finances and cross stitching and reading... best thing ever. Asides from that, by the time I got around to FETs - I made no special effort whatsoever and it was the first time my BFPs stuck. (I continued my long-time habits of an improved diet and acupuncture beforehand, but nothing special.) FX for you!

I'm pretty sure I ate pineapple core and I also did acupuncture... I did that for several transfers and only the last one was successful, but it really helped with my nerves...

Off topic... Can anyone eat pineapple now without thinking about cycling? I can't. I don't think I really like it anymore and it's been a long time since we cycled.
@CarrieB. LOL. Yes, I can eat pineapple without thinking of IF (because I only gave that a meek try). But just today at lunch, the sunflower seeds reminded me of IF.

Acupuncture and pineapple core. Immediately after the transfer I had them put pillows under my bottom and knees for my pelvis to stay elevated and I listened to spa music for 30 minutes. I got "50 tracks - Nature Soubds & Relaxing Music" for $5 on iTunes. I also listened to it many times during my 72hrs of bed rest. I am now 23w with our baby boy. GL!
BFP 10/31/12, MC 11/9/12 - We had to say goodbye before we could really say hello.
Ha, the one time FET worked for me I had *just* started a new job as a new nurse, so super stressed, emotional, physically demanding, we didn't use any drugs besides Progesterone and Estrogen. I was sure it was going to fail due to stress and no bed rest...but that was the embie that stuck. Go figure. I did elevate my hips for 20 minutes after the transfer.
Egg Retrieval - Feb. 2013 -> OHSS. FET#1 - June 2013(failed). FET#2 - October 2013(success!)
