Hi- I'm from the August club, but I was just browsing this forum and noticed you hadn't gotten your question answered yet. YES, it is common. However, you should let your doctor know- they may want to see you but more than likely will just ask you to drink water and lay down (take it easy). I had this at 6 weeks and it lasted 4 days, only when I wiped. It can be the result of irritating your cervix (now it's much more sensitive). It can also be unexplained. We had an entire discussion dedicated to talking about spotting, because MANY of us experienced this.
Hi I'm experiencing the same thing. Spotting only when I wipe. I've been to doctors today and they took a pregnancy test it still came back positive. However they've booked me in for a scan on Tuesday to find out what the problem is. I'm so scared as this is my 2nd baby but didn't experience this with my first. Let's hope it's nothing to worry about. Good luck x
