Yep - but my midwife seems to think we'll be seeing baby a lot sooner than that. I don't really know myself, but I feel as though 'things' are definitely happening! Although I'm a FTM so let's see how much we can go off just instinct. ☺️
I'm due the 23rd, STM and had it in my head for no good reason I'd have her early. ..nope still pregnant and only 1 cm dilated. I've also had those days when I wake up and I just feel "differnt" or "off" and I'm like maybe this is it, but nope. I've been have strong contractions for weeks now and I'm pretty sure I had my bloody show early Friday morning but no signs of labor anytime soon. Dr said we will possibly talk induction next week at 39 weeks. Trying not to get myself psyched out and trying to enjoy my last couple of weeks with just my son and fiancé
Doctor is planning to do a c-section on the 23rd... This is my 3rd pregnancy, will be 3rd c-section... But this is the first baby of mine to seem to want to come out. She is dropping and head down already.
Anyone dilating yet? Just came from dr and I'm at 2cm- was at a fingertip last week! So happy all those nights of contractions were actually doing something! I'd cry if they were doing nothing and the pain was just for fun!!
As of last Thursday I was 1 cm dilated. My doctor doesn't do cervical checks until 39 weeks so I won't know if I've progressed anymore until my appointment next week. The only reason I know I'm 1 cm now is because I was checked in labor and delivery
Been extremely crampy the last few days. Had my weekly appt today and she's not checking my Cervix until Monday so Idk if I'm dilating or not but I'm hoping these cramps arnt for nothing!
My dr hasn't checked me for dilation yet I'm hoping she checks tomorrow at my 38 week appt tomorrow. I'm very curious and impatient. I have to ask though for those of you who are not ftm how does the early stages of labor feel? I slept through all of the early stages with my son. I woke up to my water breaking and very strong contractions. Thanks in advance just want to be prepared!
I'm a ftm and my symptoms as of now are a lot of pressure cramps, diarrhea, nausea, and Im extremely tired. Also wake up throughout the night to constantly pee
Warning: rambling post. This has been such an odd pregnancy for me. All week I've been having what they call "silent contractions." Basically, completely painless contractions 10 minutes apart. Was super anxious and irritable last night, and woke up to contractions that were just slightly uncomfortable, about 4-6 min apart around 4am. Tried to get back to sleep, but had a nagging feeling I needed to get up and "tidy up a bit." Ended up scrubbing the kitchen top to bottom, and cleaning up downstairs as well as the upstairs bathroom. Then packed St Paddy's Day Parade outfits for all my kids just in case I won't be home to do it on Saturday. Couldn't find anything else to clean or organize, so now I'm back in bed completely awake. Ahh!!! Have my weekly U/S appt with maternal fetal doc and an appt with my OB right after. Interested to see how much I've dilated since the last week. I've finally hit that point where I am so ready for this to happen.
I had my 38 week checkup yesterday and told my dr about all the lower back pain that's been coming and making my belly hard and loose bowel moments I've been having. She said it sounds like I'm having back labor and my body is getting ready and cleaning itself out hence the loose bms. She checked my cervix and I'm still 1 cm but now 50 % effaced and my cervix is very soft she said. I have progressed from my check last Thursday. She thinks I'm starting to labor and is hoping she will come within the week. Since I'm gestational diabetic she said if I haven't gone into labor by next appointment Wednesday we will talk induction.
I will be induced sometime next week too, if I don't go spontaneously before then. Feeling the pressure because I don't ever want to go that route again.
I'm due on the 23rd with our first. If nothing by then the doctor wants to induce me on the 25th. I have a feeling she may come today... which is St. Patrick's Day! Which is funny as my husband and I are both half Irish!
I'm due on the 23rd too and was hoping for today was having some mild contractions last night but nothing this morning... I am so impatient. It's like waiting for a package with no tracking
I was very active all day walking and took the bumpy road to and from the store. Also had some spicy Orange chicken today. And sex about an hour before contractions started.
Been having contractions since last night at 5pm... they're getting more painful now... I'm having a home birth... what do you stm do to distract yourself during this longer first stage? @aregula does this feel real to you? When I timed them for 5hrs I was like no way...
