I wrote this on my weekly update, but it deserves its own discussion, IMHO.
I'm not into celebrity gossip. I don't read People or Us Weekly or anything (beyond headlines in the store checkout). But when Kate and Will announced their engagement the same weekend DH and I did, I started to pay attention to royal wedding crap. Then they announced her first pregnancy the same weekend we did. And she had hyperemesis gravidarum like I did. George is only a few weeks younger than my DS. So naturally, when she announced her second pregnancy, my friends started to joke that I must be pregnant too. Um, yeah, and that was how my friends found out about this one. They joke that we're cycling together. And now we're having a girl, and bets are that she's having a girl, and again her due date is right around mine. They'll probably steal our name too. So naturally, I have to keep up with royal baby stuff so that I know what to expect from my own life. I'm sure it will be just like hers.
I'd also like to say that she would really take the pressure off the rest of us if she'd just go out in public with baby vomit in her hair. Just once.

Re: guilty pleasure - royal baby
Sounds like she is due quite a bit before me this time from your post.
I wonder how much child care she really does and how much is actually handled by a nanny etc.
@cneiding - Her original due date, according to celebrity gossip, was at the end of April. That was based on when someone saw her go in for an ultrasound. Rumor has it that she did some sort of royal event in early August, and the host swore she wasn't feeling well then. If that was the case, then her due date is closer to early April.
I'm embarrassed to know this.

I carried small with this one right up until recently. My boss signed me up for something a week before my due date and I'm like "Really? You want to take the chance that I won't deliver a few days early?" Then today I bumped into some other coworkers I only see once a week and they're like "hey, it looks like your belly finally popped this week." They were shocked to find out that I'm due in just a few weeks.
And my belly didn't just pop. I went from "I wonder if she's pregnant" to "maternity clothes don't cover belly" in about a week.
