COACH diaper bag...worth it?

alright I'm getting way ahead of myself here, but I figured it's the place to ask!
I plan on my diaper bag being my 'purse' so I want something stylish and not a cheap gaudy bag. Anyone have a coach diaper bag? Do you like it?
...or does anyone have another stylish bag that they LOVE?

I have a Michael Kors one that I love. Well it's not technically a diaper bag just an oversized tote but it works great for me and I can fit everything I need for my little guy plus all my stuff too! Don't know what I'm going to do tho when I need one big enough for 2.

If you've got the money go for it. I've never owned coach anything. My little one's were breastfed, so I rarely even carried a diaper bag. Usually I'll just bring in a pack of wipes a few diapers. I'm SO not a prepared person.

My only advise to you is to make sure that whatever you get is easily wiped down. I never carry any of my nice purses anymore because they inevitably end up with something sticky, wet, etc. On them/in them. My inlaws gave me a Coach bag for Christmas that has yet to leave the box

@Nikkimommytimes2 is right on about the coach outlet, right now at their online outlet the bags are only $175, retail for $500. We are doing a leather coach for sure. I look at it like if you get the use out of it then it's worth it. I used my diaper bag nearly every day. May baby so we spent the whole summer out and about. I plan on using my diaper bag again. Somehow I never got anything sticky on it and it wore very well. I would definately go for it.

Not that it happens that much but on a few RARE occasions I had to take a diaper with me because there wasn't anywhere to throw it away. I carried plastic bags in the diaper bag so the diaper wasn't exactly in the bag and/or clothes that were soiled...I would have a hard time putting that in a $500 bag. If you have the money for it and want to spend that, go for it. I couldn't spend that much on one bag. I also won't spend over $30 on a purse, if that helps put things in perspective.

Early on in my pregnancy I bought 2 gently used coach bags from my boss. One was a diaper bag. She doesn't have kids but bought it thinking it was big and had lots of compartments lol. I'm excited and can't wait to use mines.

I have one that I've used as a laptop bag pre-baby, it's held up well and worked great for my needs. I will add that sometimes I wish I had more of a backpack style bag so my hands were more free to carry the baby or carrier. Also, like @Elizabeth043086 said, in the beginning if you're BF, you don't need much when you go out. I used my regular purse for the first few months.

I'm pretty into Ju Ju Be diaper bags. They have organization like I've never seen in a diaper bag, but also have really pretty prints and styles!

I bought a Coach Diaper bag for my son, but the thing I hate about their bags is that they are really heavy even when empty! They weigh a ton! I switched to a lighter bag, and as he's gotten older, I have a LV bag that I use as a purse and throw his toys/diapers in. I plan on getting a separate diaper bag when the LO gets here, for alllll that crap that I'll be toting. But my son's stuff I'll still use my purse.

I'm buying a backpack-style bag just so it will be easier to hold baby and everything else at the same time without slipping off my shoulder. Plus, I don't think my husband would be too excited about carrying a girly-looking diaper bag, so the backpack is not at all girly, lol.

My sister got me one with my first. I liked it, but didn't love it. It was just sort of bulky, and didn't stay upright or open when I needed it to. I did like the long handle so I could wear it like a messenger bag though--that is a must for me.

I don't know about it as a diaper bag, but I do have a coach diaper bag that I purchased a few years ago because I loved the print and it was the perfect size for me to use as a carry on when flying to hold my snacks electronics, blanket, etc. Only issue is depending on fabric it gets dirty easily.

To me, a diaper bag is a diaper bag. I prefer using a regular tote with a good customized purse organizer. That way even if you want to rock your Hermes or Louis V while you are out and about with your sweet little one, you can.

I am planning on using my longchamp (sp?) bag. It is a material that is easy to clean incase something spills. It doesn't have the cloth inside and it's huge!

I like the Coach diaper bags. I have several Coach purses and they hold up well. I'm currently on a Michael Kors kick so I'm thinking of buying one of the larger totes and using it as a diaper bag.

I bought one slightly used off ebay. It was about $85 because the lining was a bit stained but I cleaned that right out with a steamer and alcohol. I love everything about it. Super stylish and didn't even look like a diaper bag. I wanted to have a trendy bag because I too didn't like the fact that I will never carry around my purse again or just shove my wallet in the diaper bag. The coach bag made me a stylish mom. Downfall of using this bag: it does not have that many separate compartments as a regular diaper bag and it IS a bit oversized. I felt my bag was bigger than the stroller.

I used to work at a Coach Outlet and I won't be buying a Coach diaper bag. IMO they're very bulky and heavy. A few of my friends have Vera Bradley bags and I like them so much better. To each their own. However, I will say Coach stands behind their product 110%, so if your bag starts to wear beyond what's considered "normal" they will send the bag back for repair or give you a new one. They're great about that!

I have tried Skip Hop, Ju Ju, JJ Cole, Carters, etc., and can't say I have been impressed by any. It seemed like the more I spent, the worse the bag wore. I debated on trying a Coach one or Vera Bradley, but now I need a bag for 2 kids and one that my husband will not be angry about carrying. I decided to go with a 5.11 EMS/Fire bag. Yes it isn't glamorous, but all of my 5.11 bags I have used when I was a cop and the ones my husband uses as a firefighter are the best darn bags in the world. I guess by kid #3 you just want something indestructible.

I bought a timi & Leslie diaper bag and I love it! It looks so stylish and gets mistaken for "designer" all the time. But it's so functional because it is nylon lined and came with a changing pad, wet bag, bottle cooler, adorable wristlet/wallet, and stroller straps. They retail for about $120 but are totally worth it. Initially I was gonna go for coac or something similar but I saw these and was sold.

I personally can't imagine spending that much on a bag, but that's me. I bought a Skip Hop that is grey and classy without spending a ton.

Whatever you get needs to be wipeable. Spilling diaper rash cream all over a Coach, or any expensive bag, might ruin it. Also consider what you'll do for a purse/wallet when leaving the diaper bag with a sitter.

I have gone through two carter bags. The first lasted about a year and a half before the bottom got a tear. The new one is just like the other one. I tend to get junk in the bottom from snacks and other things. Def make sure it's wipe down friendly and can go in the washing machine. I only paid thirteen dollars for mine at rosses but then again I don't spend a lot of money on purses.

I got a coach diaper bag and I found it to be awkward and heavy. The straps weren't very comfortable when wearing it long distance. It was super cute, but not very functional.

I like the idea of a backpack, sounds practical and can be used by both mom and dad. I never got into the whole name brand thing personally, I just don't get it.

Ju ju bes are Teflon coated so easily wipe clean, but they are also machine washable.

I just bought a Kate Spade diaper bag - they are SUPER adorable, I got mine at an outlet for $120. It has tons of space and pockets, waterproof lining, and stroller clips. I decided on it because they are more stylish and I felt the handles were less flimsy than other diaper bags. I'm getting DH a "dude diaper bag" for Father's Day....I don't want anyone else to use my cute bag now!

I love my coach diaper bag, problem is the leather on the strap is not the best and has cracked and looks terrible pretty quickly. I also have a Vera Bradley diaper bag that I love.
